We stayed 3 days in this converted private house and chose a room with air-con. The service was excellent and the head-receptionist spoke perfect French. The swimming pool is shared with the hotel behind and from where we can go out and fool the becak drivers who are real pests in Yogya! Very well located as next to the outstanding Rumah Guides & the gem restaurant Via Via. Beside a thin breakfast it's the perfect good value "feel at home" stay.

Room Tip: we had room number 8 with a very quite A/C

I really liked this place. Although it was maybe a bit more expensive then some of the other options. The price include breakfast which was unlimited toast, fruit, rice and crackers and free tea and coffee. They also have wifi which i have to admit was a bit temparemental. The location was good and some nice little food places around. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. They also have hot showers which was very nice in the morning as i hate cold showers when i first wake up! I did get woken by the mosque at 4am though but soon fell back to sleep. The staff are lovely and chatty and arranged my trips to Borrobodur, Prambanan and the ballet for a very cheap price.

Room Tip: Try and get one further from the road to avoid traffic noise.

We paid 10 euros per night at the guesthouse, so we did not expect much of it. It is pretty basic accomodation, but the staff is rather helpful and we liked the neighborhood, with many other guesthouses and cafes. It is far from the center, though, and full of Westerners. Don't go into a room close to the street, which is very, very, noisy from 5 a.m, but ask for a room in the back of the guesthouse.

This place is excellent value for money, it is located in Prawirotaman which is one of two areas for accomodation within Yogyakarta. By becak it's a 10 min ride to Kraton but you could walk it too if you wanted.

It's quiet, very clean- toilets are western and have hot showers (Give it a couple mins to warm upthough..) the bed is comfortable, the staff provide good service and the front desk speaks excellent English and French! The pool is big and again, very nice and clean. Overall, paying 150,000 rupiahs breakfast included (fried rice/toast) you do get very comfortable accommodation. I highly recommend it!
