first the good parts. the hotel is located on a secluded area. they have a really nice day bed that you can lounge around. the hotel is very close to the beach and the staff are friendly.
now the bad. while the location is secluded, its also far from the markets and other resturants and bars. this means that you hav to add 200 pesos to your stay for tricycle transport.
everything here is at least double. the room that is charged at 2,500 pesos can be found at resort in white beach for 800 pesos. the room where we stayed (discounted from 4500 to 3500 pesos) we found similar standard for 1300 pesos. also the food is double the price ie : 145 vs 60 for mango shake and 300 vs 110 for a burger. breakfast is not included.
while white beach is within walking distance, you have to traverse some rocks to get there and after twighlight, its dangerous because of high tide and no lighting. there are no other options but to take tricycle which they double in price after dark.
in summary, nice place but i felt trapped and ripped off. much better option is to stay in white beach itself where there are many bars, resturants and resorts to choose from.More
