The rooms were beautifully designed but they need to be cleaned properly and the sheets need refreshing everyday. No shower caps. Friendliness of staff was inconsistent - some greeted you and others ignored you. Gym was very poorly equipped, it felt like you're competing with others to use the equipment, and it was very overcrowded.

Yotel is VERY good in terms of location, looks, friendly staff... and other things as well. The only thing that bothers me is the cleanliness of the room. I found out few times that the floor wasn.t being cleaned/mobbed properly.

The Yotel brand has finally berthed in Singapore. Without the slightest doubt its imaginative rendition of the confines of a space shuttle is a show-stopper: sharp geometrical design, one homogeneous reminder of glowing purple against white plus a generous adoption of technological gimmicks all conspire to deliver an out of this world experience for vacationers desiring something beyond the ordinary. Alas, this shuttle remains grounded, never actually taking flight in the expectations department. Here's why.

In a bid to raise efficiency of administrative processes, the hotel installed a row of self check-in/out kiosks. Surprisingly we observed no one using them, while the physical counters manned by actual humans were swarmed with folks. We attempted to join them guests already queueing but were subsequently ushered to a kiosk, where a service ambassador assisted us in getting things properly sorted. It then dawned upon us why these autonomous platforms received no love: they were too darn complicated to figure out. One moment you are prompted to key in stuff, the next you need to scan IDs. Not forgetting there is a security deposit to be paid via credit card, and also ensuring your room key cards are correctly coded. Exhausting.

Upon arriving at our designated "cabin", the door just wouldn't budge for some time despite numerous tries at getting the sensor to acknowledge the key card presented. And when it finally did, we still had to heave open what felt like one hefty security vault door. The existing real estate within spanned a mere 14 sqm, yet it seemed a rather spacious at first glance. That is until one fully unwinds the smart bed into its absolute horizontal rest configuration and sets up the collapsible chair tucked in one corner, only to end up with an atrociously small pocket of available space to shuffle around in. Claustrophobic individuals, heads up. Sleep quality was average, neither inspiring nor unpleasant.

In fairness, the room was aesthetically fashioned and immaculately maintained. Personal supplies ( toothbrush kits, towels, body and hair wash bottles etc) were adequately stocked. Then again this is about as good as it gets. The staff we encountered during our stay were largely indifferent and hardly wore smiles on their faces as they went about their business, ironically the pair of in-house robots portrayed a greater semblance of friendliness. Perhaps we were mistaken, space travel is supposed to occur under soulless circumstances and everyone was dutifully abiding by the theme?

PS: We have never felt better setting foot once again on Planet Earth thereafter.

Myself, my boyfriend and his brother stayed at YOTEL for 3 nights.
The hotel was in a great location for getting around the city.
The room was clean, but way too small for 3 adults. There was practically no floor space at all when the double bed was out and the door to the bathroom was frosted, but pretty much see through. This offered very little privacy.
In the end we had to purchase another room because of the lack of space.
Overall a good hotel, but if you are a group of 3, unless this is a couple and a child, get 2 separate rooms.

Very nice staff and very helpful! The hotel room was very clean and had everything you needed. The room was a bit small for three people but in general good. You could get water whenever you wanted. The area was great!!!
