The hotel is right on top of the Lavender MRT station providing excellent accessibility. However, the room is extremely small and no space to place your luggage. Again, the toilet is very tight but hot shower is not a problem. Some strange smell in the room like Chinese medicine. There is only one available electrical socket in the room which is not enough for the nowadays tourists. Lack of full-length mirror is another issue.

There is a food court on the ground floor next door providing a lot of choices at a bargaining price. The swimming pool and the paid-massage chairs on the 4/F provide a relaxing atmosphere. Given the low room rate US$115 nett (room-only, no view standard room), I have no complaint.

Stayed at V Hotel 13.6.2012. This a great option for those travellers who cannot stay in the Transit Lounge Hotel at Changi Airport as it is easy to get to, good price, very clean and professional. Located at Lavender 15 minutes on the MRT and the hotel is right above the station. There is a food mall next door and a very good Pizza Place on 4th floor of the building, making everything so handy when you only have a short available. Early morning Taxis are available and a fare to the Budget Terminal at 5.30am was S$23

Got a god deal online ... so we checked in for 2 nights here, on our trip to Singapore !
I've heard that 'space' is at a premium in this country .... but didn't expect it to be 'this' premium.

The rooms were tight... hardly any space to walk without banging into some furniture. With luggage taking most part of the room we were stuck to the bed mostly.

The toilets were extremely small.

Given the fact that as tourists we spend most part of the day out .... a good shower and a comfortable bed is all we need when we retire for the day !!! Lavender provides you that....

the saving grace was the view from the room .... so please ask for rooms on a higher level and on the external face of the towers.

Room Tip: rooms on higher floors

Stayed here recently. The reception staff were really helpful and let me check in at 8am when I arrived and helped me with bookings and finding places. Housekeeping staff not so good - didn't follow up on requests, turned up at 9pm to service my room and provided minimal resources in the room (not enough tea, no soap, no flannels). Tiny room like a Tune hotel one but completely adequate. Great pool but nowhere to change. Location OK, 10 min walk to Little India and Arab St. Great food court downstairs and right on top of MRT station.

My friend and I stayed at V Hotel upon the recommendation of friends. It is relatively an average 3-star hotel - nothing fancy and over the top. Hotel lobby was always busy with travelers and guests checking in and out. Staff was okay - they help if you asked for help. Rooms are small but otherwise clean and comfortable. Bathroom is small too but toiletries were provided. Hot and cold shower and hair dryer are available. Bottled water was provided and refilled upon housekeeping. Wifi is not free and we have to pay 10 SGD for a 24hr access to it. Breakfast was average. I can't say this is the best value for money hotel in SG since their rate is relatively expensive. But this hotel can make up for its great location - just several steps away from food stalls and Kopi Tiam (open 24 hours) and 2mins away from the Lavender MRT station (green line). I pretty much enjoyed my first SG trip overall - V hotel included. Will recommend to others who want to travel to SG on a budget but are reluctant to stay in hostels/backpackers' place.
