We stayed one night in March 2012. Booked a Superior Double via Agoda for ~$100AUD and upon arrival was upgraded to a Superior King. Service was fine. Room was spacious, TV with cable, wifi, kettle, hairdryer, safe. Everything was clean and in working order.

I was happy with everything except I'm a light sleeper and found that there was a fair bit of noise both from the street coming through the windows and also from the hallway coming through our door. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The hotel is walking distance to a good Hokkien Mee place so that more than made up for it :o)

As we approaced the area by taxi from Changi Airport, our driver commented that is is an expensive area to live (suburbs). The townhouses and condos gave way to the interesting colonial look of the pre-war city. There are dozens of restaurants and shops on the street level with living quarters above - all of the buildings appear in good condition.

This hotel has small room but a good value. We paid 98usd in March for a small room but it had carpet, lcd tv, strong WiFi, firm beds and was very clean and fresh. The view to the North is a residential area, quite interesting. The staff was very efficient and friendly on check in. It is quiet, the door is wood and very heavy but we were on the 4th floor too, which helps I think.

Point: A 9 sq m room, as posted elswhere here, is smaller than a prison cell. This hotel is Singapore fine, the rooms are about 22 sq m.

Excellent service. I was particularly impressed and grateful for staff's (house keeper) honesty. We left our laptop and phone charger in the rooms. staff found it and returned them to us. Front desk staff were very helpful and attentive. New, neat and clean hotel. Rooms though small are well equipped. Only thing missing is the iron and ironing board which requires a deposit of SGD10. Hotel is well located and within walking distance to eateries and cafes (same street & nearby). Hotel restaurant is currently under renovation. For families, bigger family rooms are available (these rooms are bigger than the small standard rooms but are still small). I would recommend this hotel for travellers who prefer a quiter and quaint area of Singapore and don't mind small rooms. Overall, this is an excellent hotel!

My sister booked four nights here for me off the internet when I visited her in Singapore. When I arrived, the very young staff could not locate my reservation after I provided them with their confirmation message. The room they eventually gave me was tiny (9 square meters) and very expensive (280SGD). The hotel has no facilities - no restaurant, pool or health club.

This hotel opened very recently and my room had numerous defects. The windows were locked shut, there was no iron or ironing board, the bedside lamp not working because it has the wrong plug for the wall socket, the bed was hard not firm and of low quality, there was no hand soap in the bathroom. Because the room was so small it went from being hot to cold very quickly. I would not recommend booking in this hotel. There are better options nearby for less money.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in Dec 2011. We picked it primarly for cost as it was offering 2 nights for the price of 1. It is a brand new funky and modern budget hotel. Rooms are on the small side but have flat screen TVs with HBO, BBCW, coffee and tea making facilities, fridge, bottles of water for free replaced daily, wifi and free local calls. Staff were nice and friendly.

The only drawback is the location which is a good 25 min walk to the nearest MRT station. You can catch bus no12/32 directly across from the hotel to Bugis/Victoria street in aroud 20 mins. We didnt mind as we were there for 4 nights. There was no noise from either outside or fro other rooms. Also the Katong area is quite nice the lovely east coast park is 20 mins walk away from the hotel and there are lots of bars and restaurants in the area around the hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesnt mind not being in the centre of the city and is okay with small rooms. Value is especially good if you can snag one of their deals. I would stay here again

Room Tip: We had 2 rooms as they didnt have a double when we checked in - both were the same size and both wer...
