“Slightly Expensive but a very good Hotel”
Reviewed 25 March 2012

i stayed there for 6 days on a business trip. The hotel is has excellent rooms and the service quality is also very good. The swimming pool and the Health club is also very good. the location is very convenient as it is very close to CBD.

Room Tip: Go for executive rooms/ suites

Stayed while attending an international exposition at Changi Airport. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but the price makes it a good bet. The rooms are very large and loved the shower !! Very modern styling,
Had a few issues with service at the restaurant. They are better equipped for the buffet and ordering from the menu is a challenge. To be fair, I did inform them of my problems with their service and they were able to make it up to me and were sincere.
Definitely would stay there again !

Stayed here mid March taking advantage of Singapore Airlines super "stop over" accommodation offer. Having been to Singapore before, location, value for money and a good hotel was important and the Furama River Front was all of these things. Unusually for this city the hotel has better than average size bedrooms and the higher up one goes so does the price.
The buffet breakfast is worth a mention but as everything in Singapore it comes at a price! The reception and front of house teams were excellent.
The location is within walking distance of China town, the Quays and the "hop on hop off" bus stop is within 2 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants on the opposite side of the river to the hotel but be warned they can be quite expensive, on the other hand try DA Dong
located in China town and sample his special "Peking Duck" I've had plenty but this come out tops.
This hotel for location and service gets my recommendation

Room Tip: The higher one's are the executive or club rooms, but level 8/9 are still as good but cheaper

Just pomped in this hotel very late at night as I forgot my home-keys in my house! Thanks to Furama Riverfront I could have a good night rest in a comfy bed...
Had a room in the Tropical Tower, I suppose this was the non-smoking building. Room was spacious enough and had a safe, full mini bar...Bathroom: all amenities you need (I did not have anything with me!!!) shower was ok, but water could be hotter!
Found the room even whithout using AC quiet cold! And a bit noisy due to engines outside?? Nevertheless.. the bed was very comfy, so had good rest. They allow me to park my car just oposite the mainentrance.
Staff very nice and service minded, though some filipino 'ladies' at the front office could be more friendly and need trainings!!! Speaking english is defenitely not enough to place them at a front office!!!
Locationwise: ok not to far from Waterfront with different restaurants and nice places to chill.. and MRT Outram Park must be within walking distance, otherwise several busses are passing by Havelock Road to down-town!

Overall I found this hotel 'average' due to the need to refurbish the rooms... Hence: it is well maintained, but it could be refurbished and more up to date. No Free Wifi... in the room only LAN... (sorry for Ipad users!!) And my room 662 have had some humidity problems, therefore it smells defenitely not fresh or rather unhealthy!! so average based only on my experience in my room, rest of the hotel.. was regarding the age... more than ok!

This is our second stay at this hotel within the last 12 months. This time we shared our room with our adult daughter. The room was spacious, very clean, and well presented. Nothing is a bother to the staff that work there. From the doorman to the cleaners they are beautiful people. This time we managed to utilize the swimming pool. The buffet breakfast which was included in our holiday was just amazing. They have discovered an even balance between Asian and Western. I defy anyone to complain about the food. The same goes for the evening meals. They do have a courtesy bus to take you into Orchard Rd and this is only a ten minute drive. Alternatively you can catch a taxi for a very small monetary amount. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We got a very good rate at this Hotel for a club room and decided it was worth staying there. We had also read that they had recieved some awards for being the best mid range Hotel.

For a four star hotel it did not disappoint us at all, in fact, it was very good and it would be hard to find a hotel in this range that is better.

The location was not good but we made the best of it and managed to find our way around and it gave us a chance of exploring a different area of Singapore. There are plenty of buses that are very close to the Hotel and we caught the SAEX from the nearby Miramar Hotel to the Zoo.

Our room was modern but small and the bed was very hard. The staff were great in finding us a bed topper for the mattress which helped. They were also willing to move us to another room with better views but as it was a bit of messing around we stayed where we were first located.

The club lounge is set up differently to what we normally experiance and was on the second floor. The setting made it very pleasant for a change. We found the club lounge to be excellant and felt spoilt. The evening snacks couldn't have been better. The variety and quality was amazing, so much so that we deliberately did not go there on one of ours nights so as not to spoil our dinner. There were four hot dishes, a wide selection of sushi with all the trimmings, two desserts and a selection of three different very small dishes as well as a few good quality cheeses. For drinks they offered the usual, including a choice of two beers and even teh tarak.

Breakfast was good and pretty much standard, there was plenty to choose from and they had different asian selections each day. The only thing lacking was honey but on asking the staff they were fantastic in getting some for us from their kitchen.

There is an adjoining nightclub (if that is in fact what it is called) with plenty of pretty young girls coming in and out of it and frequented by elderly men. We had a look at it but felt unwelcome and were advised that they just had small private rooms for karioke. I have to say, there must be a lot of young ladies and old men in Singapore that sing well.

The room was spacious and clean however I feel the hotel was very outdated. Also, the location is quite far away so a taxi or shuttle is needed. However, for those looking for value for money I hink this hotel is worth considering.
