I've been to the zoo a number of times; I love every visit but my favorite visit is to the tigers. The white Bengal Tigers are so very beautiful. They are active, they frequently swim and have a kind of funny appearance when they look at the crowd...... as if they are thinking how tasty we might be!

We go to Singapore regularly and my wife is always keen to see the River Safari. The boat ride was closed on the River safari and it was pouring down with rain - however due to the excellent covered walkways - we saw everything ! Panda town was great - both of them were in fine eating form.

If you are in Singapore with kids, this place is a must. Large zoo with heaps of animals and shows.

We bought the 4 park pass from WRS.com which saved us a lot of money. There are other websites to buy tickets but this seemed the best. Also include the trams. You can just show the ticket from your phone.

Getting there is easy on the MRT then zoo shuttle. Get off at Khatib station, then line up for the shuttle otherwise the line can get large and you might miss the bus as they are random sizes from mini bus to coach. Ensure you have $1 on your MRT card or buy physical ticket from a booth in the station.

Take your own water bottle as there are water filling stations everywhere. It gets hot and lots of walking, so drink lots.

As with any zoo, some animals you might see, others you might not. If you miss out on seeing some, it's not the end of the world and you may feel ripped off, but they are animals and can do what they like.

Lunch in the central restaurant was nice, but has limited seating. Would avoid at lunch time and go earlier or after. It is not that expensive and tasty enough.

Plenty of things for kids to do apart from seeing animals. Tram ride, play ground, ropes course for kids over a certain height or age ( our son was either too small or too young, can't remember).

Unfortunately you won't see a polar bear, I was sad to see that the resident polar bear had passed away from natural causes a year or two ago. I had seen it about 5 years ago and it was amazing.

Overall, if you are in Singapore, head to the zoo.

It had been a while since I visited the zoo and I loved the fresh air and sunshine at the zoo. The toilets were clean. And thoroughly enjoyed the Splash Safari Show. Will visit again.

The Singapore Zoo is actually part of four wonderful attractions. They include the Zoo, the Wildlife Reserves Singapore, the River Safari and the Jurong Bird Park. All are unique and very much worth a visit. We loved the River Safari because of the unique on the water exhibits and shows (and shade, important in Singapore). The Jurong Bird Park is also wonderful, and definitely worth a visit. Right not located near the zoo, so you have to make a separate trip. However, they are planning to move it as part of an ongoing zoo expansion project. We had heard that the zoo itself was not to be missed, but after considering the heat during the day we opted to do the very popular Night Safari instead. It was great, but beware of the crowds. There are 3 entrance times and we chose the second. The crowds during the week were enormous and we were unable to see the show. Nevertheless, we were able to easily navigate all of the exhibits and the nighttime animal activity was unique.

Started the day with Zoo Jungle Breakfast (starts at 9 am). We got to see the elephants (with opportunity to feed them too), snakes, and orangutans. The buffet breakfast is also good with varieties of food choices, fruits, bread and fresh brewed coffee. It is just a great way to start your Zoo day.
.
With the natural barriers none of the animals are caged, but visitors can walk around safely and comfortably while the animals are also free to roam around their own sanctuary.
.
There were too many people when we visited, so the restaurants were really packed during lunch time. We didn’t ride the tram though it is included in our tickets (gave up after 30 minutes of waiting). Overall we would definitely visit again if we go to Singapore next time.

Nice and extremely large zoo. It takes all day to visit all parts in zoo. There are so many kind of animals in the world. We really like Splash show and other feeding shows.

We were shuttled from a location 1 block from our hotel to a large hotel where numerous tours were to set off from. We arrived at the Zoo and were rushed to the buffet. Food was ok and lots of variety on offer. Next to the train ride. As an after dark tour to view nocturnal animals it was always going to be a hit and miss to actually see any animals. Forget getting any photos in low light with constant movement in the train. Then a choice to either see a "show" or walk back t0o view some of the animals. I chose the "show". I saw possibly 2/3 reds and left. Back to our transfer bus.
