Ate here while staying at the Grand Hyatt. Delicious! Had a three course meal and everything was wonderful. Steak was perfectly cooked and the meal as a whole was very satisfying. Not too expensive for Singapore either!

We have been going to Mezza9 for 15 years and still enjoy it. The atmosphere is good, staff is fantastic and the food is great. Lunch is OK, dinner is great and brunch is our favorite. Even with ups & downs over the years, Sunday brunch is still good. Japanese food lovers will enjoy the sake with their sushi. I'm not into raw fish but I heard it's good and fresh. Their sustainable seafood counter is great, I enjoy the lobster, prawns and the amazing oysters (one of the few places in Singapore to serve non-washed oysters, just the way I like it). There are white wines to go with it, perfect. BTW, I like this concept of placing pairing wines near the food, while the champagne is free flow during brunch. Their cold cuts & cheese selection are the best in town. Their rotisserie is good also, always include pork, beef & lamb, with the pairing red wines and delicious side dishes. There is an egg counter with eggs Benedict & French toast. I miss the fois gras... The Chinese and Asian counter is great. One can try at least 10 different dishes. On the dessert side, they have those amazing sorbets like no other place, beautiful fruits and cakes, with the traditional chocolate fountain, a hit with the kids.
Special dates are kind of tricky for them. We went for Easter Brunch with friends and were a bit disappointed. Although they converted the Martini Bar into a dinning area (not bad), they lack staff, I'm not sure if they had more people serving but clearly it was not enough, all the staff had to run from one table to another, we had to ask to be served drinks every single time and asked 3 times for our coffees. The staff was trying hard to keep up with the number of guests but was impossible. The restaurant added few special items to the buffet to celebrate Easter but doesn't justify charging more for a special date when it didn't feel that special.
Dress code rules are inconsistent. You have or you don't have a dress code. By the time you make a reservation, they say smart casual, no shorts, no singlets, no flip-flops. But we saw many people wearing shorts & flip-flops (every Sunday). We heard dinners complaining. One guest told us he counted 11 people like this. I believe most people go to the Grand Hyatt brunch for the overall experience. I remember the French manager who used to refuse guests who were not in the dress code.
I really like this place and will keep going, but I hope they keep the standards high.

Dear AndreaMarzullo,

Thank you for your loyalty to our mezza9 restaurant. It is our pleasure to hear that you still continue to enjoy our restaurant offerings. We're happy to hear that you found our weekly Sunday brunch satisfying and will still continue to find ways to improve.

We're disappointed and sorry to hear about your experience with our recent Easter brunch. Customer service is our top priority and we understand that we should still continue to serve our best even if there was an increase of diners during the Easter Sunday brunch. We're sorry that you had to go through the incident of having to ask for your coffee thrice. We'll definitely be looking into the matter to see how we can improve our service.

Separately, we apologise that our dress code rule seems inconsistent. We'll definitely be looking into this and find ways to ensure that we maintain our dress code for mezza9. We do convey to our guests that our dress code is smart casual and will find ways on how we can communicate that to guests more effectively.

Once again, thank you for your fervent support towards our mezza9 restaurant and we apologise for the inconvenience we have caused you during the recent Easter brunch.

Warm regards,
Grand Hyatt Singapore Management Team

Great Easter Sunday experience, really high quality food served in a relaxed sumptuous environment. The food was great and neverending, the champagne flowed freely, and there was wine martinis and gin cocktails, as much as your heart could desire. The staff were super attentive, to all our desires and wishes. Although not cheap it definitely was good value for money. And a special environment to take special people to. Highly recommended by everyone in my group. A must experience event, and a high point in my visit to Singapore

I have been visiting Mezza 9 for many years for the same thing: lobster noodles. And I always order it with yee foo noodles, NOT crispy noodles, with shells, NOT de-shelled. Somehow, it tastes sweeter if cooked with the shells. As for noodles, it's personal preference. It's one of the best lobster noodles I've ever tried so far, and the quality has been consistent over the past years. Lunch hours are usually very packed, and service is slow.

The air-conditioning in this place is bonkers and WAY too cold. I can only assume it is because the waiters and waitresses are so busy running around. (There are not enough staff here). We waited ages for drinks service on a busy Friday night and the food seemed to take a while too. The cocktails were not consistent and only good occasionally and the food, although good, just got cold so quickly in the cold air-conditioned air.
