My wife and I were there at a stressful time. Due to the health of my wife, we were not able to board the Cruise Ship and San Antonio Chile. We had Celebrity Cruises, make hotel arrangements for us. We subsequently returned home to Canada. We would have stayed longer, but the hotel was full. Very friendly staff. Could not have received better service! Great hot breakfast!. We enjoyed our stay

We stayed in many hotels during our 24 day visit to Chile, Argentina and Brasil but rate the Atton Vitacura our favorite overall. The only improvement necessary is the pool. Great value for money and a great area of the city far from the downtown and close to park areas to walk.

We're just back from a 3 night stay at the Atton Vitacura, and would definitely recommend it. The staff were on the whole helpful and friendly, the rooms spacious and bright, the public rooms very attractive, and the location excellent, safe and with a good selection of restaurants and a handy mini-market close by. There's a 24 hour gym and an attractive outdoor pool area (the pool's on the chilly side at the moment!). The beds were the comfiest we had on our South America tour, with quality linen. The shower was fine, but allow a few minutes for it to heat up - some rooms have huge baths as well, apparently (jealous!). We didn't come across any English TV channels apart from the news channels, but we weren't there to watch TV. The breakfasts were fine, and well-stocked. We particularly enjoyed the novelty of the fresh honeycomb and quince, which we've never seen before on a breakfast buffet! One minor point that could be important to visitors spending a lot on food etc, at the hotel.... We were told by our tour guide that non-residents charging items to their rooms then paying by US dollars or credit card when checking out would have the 20% sales tax taken off the bill. The bar staff then insisted, after much discussion amongst themselves, that we'd have to pay by credit card to have this applied, and that we couldn't pay by US dollars at all, either at check out or on the evening. We didn't want to use our card, so just paid by pesos and lost out by a fair amount on our pisco sour nightcaps alone (they were very good). Perhaps the hotel should clarify the position in the information they leave in their rooms? This aside, we had a very enjoyable time and would certainly stay here again if the chance arises.

Dear Daisy,

We appreciate your time to evaluate our service through this important medium. To clarify, indeed you could have opened the credit, which is always informed to the guides in order to avoid the payment of tax that with your immigration document and passport is reduced. We will take your comment as a tip so that our staff is more attentive and inform our guests.

A very clean and comfortable hotel to stay while in Santiago. The hotel staff were very courteous and kind. The desk staff, Katherine and Alejandra were very helpful in giving insight into local eateries and things to do. Carolina , the restaurant hostess, was very cheerful and attentive; a real plus to start the day at breakfast. All in all, I would stay at this hotel again if I travel to Santiago in the future.

We stayed 8 nights because my wife ended up in the hospital after the 1st day of a planned 3 day stay. She recuperated there for 5 days. The staff were wonderful and caring, They always asked about my wife and how she was doing. The breakfasts were good with a large variety buffet that was well attended and filled. The Vitacura location is terrific. It is an upscale area close to shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel.
