We stayed at the Su Merced on the first leg of a vacation to Santiago and Easter Island in August 2015. It was a great choice of hotel to begin our trip, as it was right in the heart of the city and close to museums, restaurants, and nightlife. A short walk to everything we needed, including the subway.
The staff, especially Paloma, was incredibly kind and helpful (despite our limited Spanish). Plus, when they found out it was our honeymoon, they upgraded us to their largest room at no additional charge and gave us each a complementary glass of champagne! The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and a welcome break when we didn’t feel like going out for dinner.
The Su Merced was the perfect place to start our trip--we would highly recommend!More
