A fun way to finish our group trip in Ecuador! We visited Tucanopy as part of our stay at Maquipucuna ecolodge but I would definitely consider staying at the lodging at Tucanopy as well. The Tucanopy reserve was beautiful, the facilities onsite were well maintained and clean, the people were very friendly and spoke good English (our group had very little/no Spanish abilities), and the zip-lining felt very safe and had a great circuit set up through the agriculture field and forest with great views. There was also a suspension bridge walk through the forest that we did not have time for. Definitely recommend this place.

I took two groups of 25 people to the Tucanopy and everyone had an awesome time. While experiencing the thrill of the zip-line you are also contributing to the conservation and restoration of the cloud forest while enjoying gorgeous surroundings. We also ate the best pizza ever made with organic hand picked ingredients. A perfect day and HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to Nina and the gang!!!

Beautiful place. The zip-line was incredible. I felt safe as they did an excellent job of making us secure. We enjoyed the pizza there as well and it was homemade delicious. I hope to go to this amazing place again. Highly recommend!

Fun, educational, safe zip-line experience. Beautiful location. Wonderful family-run business. The lovely, young couple are modifying a family farm from traditional practices to more sustainable practices that are ecologically integrated into the surrounding cloud forest. Didn't stay at guest house (but would certainly consider it). We did this as part of day trip from Maquipucuna Eco-Lodge, but could get here easily from Quito or Mindo for a day trip. Or look into staying here. Guest house was in peaceful, sun-lit, garden area. Definitely worth a visit!

As part of our experience with the Maquicupuna Reserve stay, we were offered this zipline experience. It was extraordinary. The operators run it as a family business and have an excellent set-up of equipment and runs and very knowledgeable about the park. The environment is very unique as it is much more higher in the cloud forest tops. After 2 pm, the clouds do start drifting in and it resembles a kind of "jurassic park" scene. So going early might be best for the views. Our highest speed was about 60-70km/h. Very rural. Very quiet. Thrilling, but not too much even for a 45 year old woman. The guides are excellent for teaching you how to do this. My 18 year old daughter and 50 year old husband also loved it. My husband says he has to come back. The flora, fauna, and environment is well taken care of and preserved and protected. Much of it was restored. The family has done an excellent job with building up a nice community building with dining, commons area, bathrooms, and cabins, while respecting the environment. We brought in a box lunch. You do need to call ahead for reservations.
