Basic, basic rooms, basic breakfast. If you dont plan to stay a lot in the hotel is a good option. Its well locatwd walking distance from major restaurants... Cute rooftop for drinking and smoking. Quiet area. I must say they were renovating the dining room with an expansion so i guess it will improve.

Dear Jack,
We are very sorry to hear about your negative experience, nevertheless we would like to kindly point out that you might have the wrong location given that the Anahi Boutique Hotel is both 100% smoke free according to ecuadorian organic law of tobacco regulation and control (Title III, first chapter, article 21) and we are currently not undergoing any expansions or contructions in our hotel facilities.
Best wishes from the entire Anahi Boutique Hotel

I spent three nights here on a return trip from the Galapagos, and I'm so glad I did. We were greeted by a warm front desk staff and shown to our very comfortable rooms. Mine had a lovely terrace overlooking the street. Our rooms were pretty and functional with modern baths and all the necessary amenities. We had a very late flight back to the US, and the kind front desk staff generously granted us late check-outs, which made our last day in the city so much more enjoyable than it might have been otherwise.

I just stayed for a week at the Anahi Boutique Hotel in Quito. The hotel is elegant, spacious and quiet. They have an excellent restaurant. The hotel is near everything. The service and personal attention at the Anahi is wonderful. Both management and staff attended to my every need. They went out of their way to make my stay in Quito a good one. Based on my experience, I plan on staying there next near as well.

We were booked into the hotel on two separate nights during an Ecuador/Galapagos trip. The hotel was smart, clean and the staff very friendly. It's a little way from the old city centre, but it's only about 40 minutes to walk or 10 mins and $4 by taxi (yes, taxis are very cheap in Quito!) Lots of decent restaurants in the area for a taxi ride (recommended by our tour guide after dark) of $2 or less.

Spent 3 nights here on our arrival to Ecuador and the lodging worked well with our plans. The staff was accommodating, the property was clean, and offered quite a bit of space and art to browse over. The hotel is not really in a hotel zone but there are numerous restaurants within walking distance along with a large grocery store a few blocks away. Just ask about the Plaza Foch and the Super Maxi - both can be walked to in 10 minutes.

The breakfast switched between a served meal and a buffet, and I assume that's because the number of rooms booked when we first arrived were low. Eggs were always cooked to order. Both were were good and the only meals we ate at the hotel.

The room was fine with a big patio, fridge, wifi, and a good sized bathroom. The nights are interspersed with many strange noises coming from outside which was a bit of a downside but really out of control of the hotel. This may be a bigger issue for some but we almost enjoyed the variety sounds. I'd rather have a wall of patio doors and some noise than a walled off room that's a bit quieter.

Most things are about a $5 dollar taxi ride away, like the old town (we walked there and back) and the Teleferico. Airport is a standard $25.

We enjoyed our staytigue and I would recommend the Anahi.

Dear Tony,

We thank you very much for your positive comments. We are happy to hear you found the Anahi Boutique Hotel location central. We are also happy you found some time to look through our art-work on display most of which has been done by ecuadorian artisans and can can always be purchased. We are very sorry to hear about the outside noise, Quito can be a very hustling city, nevertheless, we will work on finding a solution.

Wishing you all the best from the Anahi Boutique Hotel Team!
