We visited Quito in mid- March 2012 for me to have stem cell therapy and since we are members of Marriott, found this hotel. Because of the cost of living being so much less in Ecuador, this hotel was very affordable as opposed to here in the US. So it gave us the opportunity to try the JW Marriott level. It's a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lobby graced by beautiful large rose arrangements since Ecuador is known for its rose industry. The hotel also had wonderful restaurants. We ate in four of them and the food was delicious. The rooms are simply decorated, I wouldn't say they're anything special. The bathroom was very spacious though which was nice with both a shower and large bathtub.

The hotel is well- situated for what we wanted and we were also recommended by two locals a wonderful restaurant only a couple blocks away which we went to 3x and absolutely loved it. It was called, La Ronda. Here you can find comida tipico- traditional meals the Ecuadorians eat. I would highly recommend it!

There is nothing special about this hotel. Average Marriott standard. It is not standard to charge you $15 per day for internet but it is in Quito. There is one nice Argentinean steak house at the hotel I can recommend.

I had the chance to attent to my grandson's graduation at Marriot Hotel. The hotel was marvellous. The decoration was perfect. The personnel was great. We stayed partying until 6 a.m. Then we had breakfast. Evrything excellent. I don't know if the hotel organised the party but I congratulate them for the excellence!!

We spent 8 nights at this hotel in August coming & going as we traveled around Ecuador & Peru.
Service, accommodations were all excellent. We especial commend the staff without exception. The breakfast buffet was super as was the cafe for cappuccinos & ice cream & bar for snacks.

This hotel is a great hotel and very centrally located near a large shopping mall & local shopping district. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom w/the roman tub is very beautiful.
The hotel wi-fi was great and the gentleman in the business center was very helpful in getting my device to logged into the system.
Huge mall nearby, with a supermarket. City uses USD (dollars) but items tend to be overpriced because of this. Fairly safe area to walk around in, however it is always good to be responsible for your own safety. Leave large purses, expensive jewelry, etc in the hotel safe.
The Equator is maybe a 25-30 min ride and a great site to see. Taxis or buses alike both go to the site.
