I stayed here with my wife as she was participating in a local contemporary music festival. The service was good with fresh bottled water provided every day as well as one available in the dining area where we could refill water at any time. They offer a basic breakfast. Lunch and dinner were also available upon request and were typical Ecuadorian (grilled meat, rice, and baked beans). The hotel is located far from the centre of town, but it is still quite walk-able or you can take a cab for under $3 USD. The room and bathroom were clean. The nearby mall and giant park offer a great opportunity to spend time with locals (it is a little less touristy as the area isn't as frequented by tourists)

Nothing to shout home about if I'm honest. The rooms are clean and its reasonably quiet. About 20 minute walk in the old town ( depending on how you are with a huge amount of steps _ I felt totally unfit afterwards). Breakfast was not good. You have bread but can make toast. There was scrambled eggs like you get everywhere else. Some grapes which were pretty wrinkly and strawberry halves which had seen better days. Juice and coffee which I'm told tasted ok even though looked awful. Staff were nice. Room came with a tv no hairdryer for those men out there who love to blow dry their beards. Think I would have preferred to stay in the old town if given the choice. You do get wi fi though
