The hotel has all charm and problems of an old colonial building (and probably maintenance, too). It is very well located (several blocks away from the main square and very close to the “Juanita” museum), it has a beautiful patio with flowers and fountains. In my room there was no street noise, but the fountain water falling (just at my doorstep)was not so soothing and sounds from the front office were quite loud. Rooms are spacious, old-fashioned, though clean enough. Meanwhile towels and bed sheets were old and with some old stains. Bedcover definitely asked for a good wash. WiFi was slow and interrupted. Breakfast was OK.

Room tip: Rooms looking into the patio are quiet, especially those distanced from the front office.

Really cosy hotel within walking distance from Plaza de Armas. Rooms were okay, but nothing special. The same counts for the breakfast buffet. Nice and helpful staff. The Big plus is the location close to everything you need while in Arequipa.

This hotel was one of the best hotels we booked during our trip in Peru. The staff were very helpful and kind. The room was clean and all the facilities were fine. It was a short walk to the main square, the streets were well lit and safe. All in all would book again!

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the main plaza.
There was no glass over the toilet door in our room, so you could hear everything...
Breakfast was basic.
We had a good stay and good sleep.

Enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Su Majestad Hotel in Arequipa.

Situated a 10 minute stroll from Plaza de Armas, the hotel is in a perfect location to see the main attractions of Arequipa’s Historical Centre - such as Monasterio d’ Santa Catalina and the Basilica Cathedral.

Our twin-room was neatly appointed and was very clean and well maintained.
The door and window shutters provided a near pitch-black room for sleeping, which was great. A small, portable electric radiator was a bonus too; however, the super-thick blankets provided plenty of warmth when required.

The Continental breakfast was ample with cereal, meat & cheese and fruit on offer.
Don’t forget to ask for some scrambled eggs...

Restaurant and reception staff were very helpful and courteous - we’d definitely stay here again when in Arequipa!
