This hotel is small and cozy, this near the central square, we are walking through San Blas, so we were 4 days, stored our luggage when we went to Machu Picchu, also offer you a discount without even ask, but you must pay cash, that's no problem, I recommend.

Room Tip: paid in cash and calls off

the hotel is quite nice but very expensive. the bedroom was very small without any view ( with a view inside the hotel so if you want light, everyone can see you !). it was very clean . the breakfast is very light !
We asked to be awake at 5 in the morning with breakfast at 5h15 ....everything was possible the evening before ..... but we woke up alone and we need to wake up the man at the reception to go out ! ( without any breakfast of course !) we went for inca trail so we left our luggage at the hotel. when we came back , the man at the reception told us that he was not aware of our reservation and thought we had cancelled it ( we had our luggage in his hotel, how can we cancel the room??????) not really professional but nice, the woman at the reception is however very professional and so nice. thank you to her. it was ok but too expensive for the service. the hotel has a good location and very quiet.

Our tour operator chose this hotel for us as part of our package. It was ok and we were fine but I can see how many others would not like it.

This hotel is basic. Most of the rooms are down below the first floor. Ours was 2 floors below but we still had windows due to the steep hill. The bathroom has a small open window that leads to the outside for ventilation so it gets cold when the weather is cold. The room and bathroom are small and the carpet is the kind that traps hair (tile would have been a better choice) so you want to walk around with your shoes on. When we were there, hot water got turned off after 11 pm or midnight and didn't get turned on until 6 am. If you had to take a shower before 6 am you'd be out of luck. There is no hot water option in the sink but that's usual for Peru budget hotels, we discovered. The room was okay clean but the bathroom was pretty clean.

The staff was great though. They always were friendly, helpful and had a smile, especially the cook in the kitchen who prepares breakfast and lunch. Breakfast itself doesn't have a lot of variety but hey, you're in Peru. There was ham, cheese, a couple kinds of fruit and bread. The "orange" juice is not real juice but was more like Tang. Once we had lunch there and asked for something quick. He made us spaghetti with tomato sauce. It tasted fresh and good! Breakfast is supposed to start at 6 am but the cook doesn't arrive until 6 am so expect breakfast at 6:15 am.

There is an internet room within the hotel with 2 computers.

The location is slightly far when you consider the city's size but Cuzco is small. It was only a 10-minute walk to the city's centre at most. The steep hill leading to the hotel is a bit grueling the first time but I welcomed the exercise!

My review is kind for this hotel because I tried to look at other hotels and most of them looked more basic than not and when you consider how locals live, this hotel was okay. If I had to choose a hotel myself, I'd probably try to book a slightly nicer hotel but hey, it was fine (clean sheets and hot showers!). It's part of the Peru experience! I can be a princess at home.

We planned this trip for so long and it was the first hotel we stayed in Cusco. This hotel is located in San Blass, It's a good walk to the city centre due to the altitude the way back is the killer one! To start they didn't show up at the airport on time as they said. I had to call the hotel from the airport after waiting for 30 minutes or more, the girl on the phone said that she thought our flight was delayed! After 15 minutes a taxi drive picked us up. I was annoyed by the time I arrived in the hotel, the receptionist apologized about the misunderstanding. We got a room down stairs, the room look just ok, the toilet wasn't spotless but was clean, the room was very small from what I imagined or expected. We booked for 4 days, 3 nights and the first night was very noisy, seemed someone upstairs was building something from 6am until 11pm!!! The 2 day we told the receptionist about moving rooms due to noise and she said the hotel was full and maybe next day, we moved rooms next day to a floor higher and this room was way bigger the one we had, had a heater and the toilet was bigger too. Ivan one of the receptionist was brilliant, he is very kind and friendly, he knows pretty much everything about sightseeing in Cusco and he is excellent giving directions. Breakfast was good and the guy who prepares it was very friendly too. Now after moving room I felt things were going on a good way but in Perú there are taxes for Peruvians that live in Perú and foreigners and Peruvians that live abroad are exempt from these taxes, all you have to do is show your white card (piece of paper that you filled in with your details before arriving in Perú) so I know I don't pay those taxes (19%of the bill) but the hotel receptionist wanted to charge me with the taxes even though the night before checking out I explained this to her and she said that she completely understand that and that she deals with these cases all the time. I wouldn't come back to this hotel and I wouldn't recommend it either.

The hotel sells on its website, the great views of Cusco, which ou can only get if you stay at the first floor, paying extra for it. Most of its rooms are 2 floors down, and have no view. Also, they do not have blackout curtains, so you'll be perfectly awake at 5 am each day. The breakfast is just a perfect joke, a piece of bread and ham and cheese (that is if you're lucky and wake up between the first 10 guests). There is a very funky smell in the hallways. ON the bright side, the beds are very comfortable and the water is hot (if you shower when nobody else is using the hot water) althought there is no heating in the bathrooms. The staff tries very hard to please the guests, they even left us a rose when they found out it was our honeymoon.

Staff seemed to be very unprepared and without experience.
They confirmed by email a transfer service from the airport and hadn´t appeared. They even had sent a simple email canceling the transfer service and hadn´t explained the fault. We wasted time and money paying a taxi from the airport, which charged exorbitant cost and didn´t know the hotel and it´s exactly location, because the entrance of the hotel is in a small room in San Blas neighborhood, which the car could not reach. You have to get off the taxi at the Plazoleta San Blas or lateral street and walk.
I have reserved two months earlier a matrimonial room for me and my wife and we received a twin room with three singles beds as it was normal.

The rooms don´t have phone service. The windows have thin curtains , it is impossible to sleep after 6 am due to clarity.

They say that breakfast time begins at 6 am, but when we went there at 6 am , needing to take a taxi to airport 15 minutes later, it was not ready and took time to be prepared.

It was good: cleanliness and silence of the room; location - San Blas neighborhood.
