This is a must-do if you're in Cusco.

If you have the flexibility, visit on the Monday before Easter. In the early afternoon (around 2pm), you'll be able to watch the procession of El Señor de los Temblores, which originates from the Cathedral at Plaza de Armas. There is solemn music, throngs of faithful, and the procession of the Christ accompanied by ringing church bells.

The statue of the crucified Christ is believed to have mitigated further disaster following their earthquake of 1650,

It was great to be able to experience this in person.

If you’re going to Cusco you’re going here. This is the central hub. The restaurants and music are great. People will try to sell you things which is annoying but they aren’t that pushy

Plaza de Armas was fun and you can find some good food around, is music on the weekends and the market is not too far, we stay 2 blocks from it and it was easy to walk and have a little fun at night.

Beautiful plaza with 2 cathedrals on the perimeter. Many restaurants on the plaza as well as in the streets running off the square.

Lot of history here but also a great place to relax, people watch and have a drink on a balcony overlooking it all.
