This was probably the most homely and one of the most intimate hostels I've ever been to. Great value, with intimate, laid back atmosphere and friendly, helpful hosts. If most of the stuff you want to do is in Miraflores or Borranco, you have to factor in the travel price to get there and back, which - if you don't know Spanish - in the beginning will probably mean taking Taxi's since the bus system is confusing, but overall this is one of the top few best hostels I've visited, and I wouldn't mind staying much longer.

I have spent months traveling in Peru and South America and this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Yes it's in a residential area, yes it's not a party hostel, but it's safe and you can walk around most of San Borja at night. It's close to the now open electric train which gives you access to many parts of Lima.

I particularly like the exercise area in the middle of San Borja Norte, one block away form the hostel, it allows me to stay in shape while I'm traveling.

There is only one problem and that's the lack of shower heads. Ana said she was going to get them replaced but they haven't been as of yet. So when you take a shower, it's more like like being under a fountain.

Room Tip: I prefer the single room, it's large, has a desk where I can work on my books and a great privat...

Friendly helpful owner and a comfortable lounge area with wifi, but that's as good as it gets. The small 'hostel' is just the top floor of her house located in a residential district very far away from the tourist/backpacker attractions. You will be at the mercy of taxi drivers who find it very difficult to locate the address. Contrary to the website, there is no bar or functioning washing machine. The kitchen is poorly equipped. The shared bathroom has a truly dreadful shower. There is junk piled high in cupboards and behind screens. Do not expect to meet fellow travellers here - the hostel was empty apart from us.

A great gesthouse which is the best place to start your journey in Peru. Jo and Jeremy answered dozens of questions we had about traveling in Peru and Bolivia and there advices were priceless. Actually, during our 3 days stay with them we prepared the whole plan for traveling for the next two months. The guesthouse is located in the quiet and very safe district of Lima, close to the supermarkets, laundry and fine restaurants. We felt there very secure, almost like at home. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed at so far during our two months' RoundTheWorld trip.

This hostel is very homely and the owner are great. It´s a little out from the main attractions in Lima but the area is very safe campared to other places so it´s a good place to stay. Also, taxis are very cheap so it´s no pronlem to travel. They have very good internet access with high speeds and the owners will give you all the info you need even about Lima and the rest of Peru. Both have travelled around South America annd they know the dos and don´ts. Only bad thing was that the breakfast was a bit limited for the price. Definitely recommended though.

Happy up here is the most wonderful hostel we have stayed in while travelling. Warm, friendly atmosphere, FANTASTIC hosts - Joanna and Jeremi are absolutely irrepleacable with their hints& guidance you can discover Lima in a completely new way! Rooms&facilities are very clean, nice and cozy, breakfast's avaliable. I loved the room where you can just sit, talk and chill. There is also a pretty impressive collection of movies. Internet access is not a problem. In one word - I really can recommend this place to anybody. It's marvellous!

The staff are so helpful and informative! And the hostel itself is very cosy and homely. A great place to relax on comfy sofas in the common room with an unlimited number of films. Nice breakfast, clean bedrooms, convinient localization in a very safe part of Lima. Great value, 100% worth recommendation.
