This hotel was part of a GAdventures tour. Decent and clean accommodation within walking distance of downtown. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. English was sparse however. WiFi worked well. I wear earplugs so noise wasn't an issue with me.

I spent 3 nights here at San Blas, 2 consecutive and then one night a week later after completing a G Adventures tour. The hotel is in a nice area but a bit of a hike to anywhere good, like the coast and nice restaurants. The rooms were nice, they had air conditioning and a fridge. Shower leaked though. Staff was friendly although they didn't speak much english. The walls of the rooms are like paper so be sure to bring ear plugs. A lot pf G Adventures tours start here so if that's what you're there for, its a fine hotel for that purpose.

Room Tip: Water bottles are not free.

Stayed for 4 nights in total - 2 before travelling and 2 when we got back. Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Good location too. Nothing fancy but more than adequate. Rooms were very clean and would happily stay there again if I am ever in Lima again.

Nice clean hotel with comfortable rooms that had air conditioning and a fridge. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were provided and consisted of cereals, fruit, cheese, ham, bread, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, juices, milk and yogurt.

Room Tip: Opt for a room with single large bed, not twin beds!

The Hotel San Blas has all you need for a one night stay in Lima, but I wouldn't stay longer. It is located in a residential area, too far from the promenade to walk and there are very few good restaurants within walking distance (in fact, our guide recommended we didn't walk alone in the area of the hotel). This means you need to get a taxi to go anywhere. The location of this hotel gave some people in our tour group a very negative impression of Lima as a whole. It is also on a busy street so very noisy in some rooms.

The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable, but decor is old. There is no safe or tea/coffee in the rooms and there was almost no hot water at times.

Staff have almost no English, but did arrange an early breakfast for us on the day we left as we were leaving by 6am. The breakfast spread was not great, but room service was OK.
