Sol y Luna has great facilities and excellent fod and service. The rooms are effectively isolated chalets with great privacy and lots and lots of space. Excellent furnishings and good access to the restaurant and other facilities via golf carts if you need them. There is a heated swimming pool and spa. The food is very good indeed, and there is a buffet breakfast. The resort has its own school, for local children from deprived backgrounds. A well very maintained establishment indeed, in the river valley en route to Machu Picchu.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sol y Luna! The grounds are absolutely beautiful providing paths for you to enjoy. We stayed in a Deluxe Casita which was very large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was amazing with dual sinks, a nice shower and large wonderful, soaking tub. Although expensive, I would highly recommend staying here. The only small thing I wish the hotel would change would be to put screens on the windows. They all open but without screens bugs were flying in and we were a bit warm in the room without the windows open (there is no AC).

My husband and I stayed at this AMAZING hotel for 2 nights in April. I can honestly say it is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The rooms are stunning. They have ‘casitas’ (little houses) as rooms decorated beautifully.
The hotel has 2 restaurants, KillaWasi and Wayra, both served outstanding food.
The grounds in the hotel as spacious and surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Sacred Valley. It truly is a peaceful place.
There is a pool and hot tub.
There is such attention to detail in this place, upon our arrival they had delicious petit fours in our ‘casita’ and at night time they put a hit water bottle to make it warm.
The hotel organised 3 experiences for us. Horse riding in the hotel grounds, quad biking and paragliding in the Sacred Valley. It was great fun!
This is the perfect place to relax before seeing Machu Picchu, or after visiting it. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Everything was perfect, from start to finish.

Property was beautiful but the standard rooms were oddly designed with minimum sized bathrooms. Overall, customer service was notably lacking given the Relais & Chateaux certification. The billing system could not handle a pool-side order without cash and additional bottled water cost 15 Soles – ridiculous given the high room rates. On the day of our departure to Machu Pichu (5:25am), the management staff did not seem to grasp that many in our party might want to have a box that we could use to take a few breakfast goodies with us to the train station. Also, a $100 SPA credit was not honored in spite of our Virtuoso booking. Overall customer experience: C-

The hotel had beautiful Casitas surrounded by an abundance of flowers, cactus and trees. We relaxed around the pool, spa and sauna. The restaurant and bar had delicious food and drinks. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend Sol Y Luna!
