Just loved it here. Especially enjoyed the casual sitting area out back. Nice latte and fruit drinks. Really enjoyed the salads.

We were exploring the CIC 'department store' (amazing selection of resort wear, t-shirts etc) when we realised lunchtime was upon us. We spotted Cafe Salsa as we turned right (on foot) leaving the CIC, no more than 25 metres away. My daughter had fantastic pancakes, others had toasties, my wife had the local marinated fish dish and I had an all-day breakfast. Big serves and some of the best tasting and prepared food we had on the island. The drinks menu is great, the kids all had tropical fruit smoothies (which they loved) and the grown ups had Nu (drinking coconut in the shell). The bill was very reasonable. Would definitely return.
In the CITC shopping center area. Great local fruit smoothies. Went a second time for late lunch at 3p and was told they were closing . It’s not just them ,The shopping areas close by 4p pretty standard.
We attended Cafe Salsa on Sat 13 Jan to order lunch after a morning at the Markets we waited for 20 mins for our order to be taken The was 5 of us including a baby so then we waited another hour for order nite around this time everything all shops start to close up on the island then the waitress comes over and says sorry we seem to lost your order! Just wow we left Bye Felicia.
Lunch under the colourful Flame-tree
Having Breakfast or lunch at the Salsa Restaurant in Avarua, has been a real treat for my wife and I for several years now. Whenever we come for holiday, we stop by and enjoy a delicious meal under the flowering Flame tree (November-December). The food tastes yummy and has been so consistent over the many years. The service is good, friendly and professional. We certainly hope to come back to this lovely Restaurant many more times I prefer the toasties as well as the Pizzas! Coffee is good and served in a large Mug! Beautiful Island in future.
