We (3adults) stayed 5 nights .There are 4 villas on the block and we stayed in villa 1. Wow, Wow, Wow.
We were warmly greeted by Kalera. The grounds are immaculate, a credit to Rusi and Kalera. The gardens are beautiful and the pool always clean.
The views from each room were breathtaking. The villas are nicely furnished and have everything you need for a very comfortable stay, with all modern amenities (except a tv, which you don't miss, as you have unlimited free wifi). The views across the coral coast are magnificent. There is a rock island across from the villas, make sure you swim out there in the right tide, between 11 and 1, for if you go around the to OTHER side of the rock island, the snorkelling is fantastic. The water is shallow behind the rock, and you can trawl around and it's like an aquarium!!
The location of the villas are great. Only about a 10 minute drive into the town of Sigatoka to get supplies.
Gecko and Shangri La resorts are only a 2 minute drive in the opposite direction, if you have the need to eat out. The views are so nice, we ate 'in' most nights.
There is train track which runs in front of the villas, which a small steam train passes by 3 times a week. You can catch it Into town and catch a taxi or bus back. We walked along the train track, which is very scenic, plus we got to speak to friendly locals along the way.
We didn't want to leave, and will definitely return one day.
Vinaka Kalera and Rusi.

The villas are right on the ocean, and have a pool as well. We were a group of six friends and enjoyed everything about the villas and the excellent service from the hosts. They picked some fresh coconut for us, and taught us how to peel and cut them. We ate out about once a day, but enjoyed using the kitchen and amenities at the villas for breakfast and lunch. Fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful in the markets, and there are a number of great bakeries.
Grabbing a cab into town is easy and we felt very safe throughout the stay.
Rooms are large and the breeze from the ocean is wonderful.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

Located a short ten minutes from town on the coast are these great villas. Large enough to sleep one or two family's, clean and good value for money. If you, like a quite holiday and love diy trips what a fantastic place to stay.care taker will show you around if you want to consider a future stay here. Simply good value for money as a self contained stay. Recommended

The Malaqereqere Villas are clean, well-designed and equipped, and sit in a spectacular position with great views and lovely breezes.
The indoor/ outdoor areas are perfect, and convenience of full kitchen and laundry suited our needs perfectly - as did the pool and BBQ area serving the 4 villas. We were very happy to spend time hanging around "home-base" in the afternoons! No TV, though wifi on tap.
The booking was well handled by Clarke, and hosts Rusi and Kelera are discreet and low-key, but always there to help. They are friendly and hospitable.
Malaqereqere is blissfully out of the way, so we found it useful to have a little car to shop for supplies and run errands. It's 15 mins into Sigatoka for supermarkets/ shopping. Some good restaurants are within a 15 to 30 min taxi ride, though these are "local charm & character" rather than "posh". Food was great at Indiana Restaurant and Beach Cocomo.
I thoroughly recommend a stay at Malaqerqere

These villas and the grounds are very well maintained. Fantastic pool and views of the coral coast. The resident hosts are very helpful in organizing transportation for any trips. There are few if any restaurants or stores nearby, so organizing transportation and visiting the large grocery in Sigatoka is essential.
