Located very centrally next to the popular Stephens Centre this guesthouse is characterised by its friendly owners and staff as well a nice breakfast and a very welcoming atmosphere . The rooms are adequate rather than posh but are nicely cleaned and reasonably quiet . I started in 5 but on mentioning that the window blond was u/s I was immediately moved to 1 which had a desk and views over the market outside . Whilst there was some noise early on from the road and market the location is so central with many restaurants and tourist attractions nearby , plus an excellent price , this is my go to place on Tirana . Wifi worked well and was free

Room tip: I liked room 1

The people working at Vila Kerciku were very friendly and helpful. They even drove me to the airport for less than the taxis charge. I had a great massage at the spa as well. Nice place and good location.

We stayed at Vila Kerciku for 10 days. Our time there was very enjoyable.
Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast is excellent, and staff amazing.
The location is perfect, right by an open market, and walking distance
to all the sights in Tirana.
We have staying at 2 other hotels in Tirana abdbVila Kerciku is by far the best.

Room tip: The front balcony rooms are charming.

No question, the location is good, but you can tell that from a map. This hotel adds the necessary elements to make this a good hotel in the right spot - good bed, good shower, good breakfast, good wifi and hospitality pitched perfectly to be attentive without being intrusive. The whole place is kept very clean and tidy and the rooms are generously proportioned. Room 1 has a desk, which is important for me to be able to work after hours, but rooms 4 and 5 do not. I'm not sure about rooms 2 and 3. Rooms 1, 4 and 5 have two single beds. Rooms 4 and 5 are at the rear of the building away from the road, but there is not a great deal of street noise anyway. Not all the staff speak English but there's always someone on duty who does. The swimming pool in the basement is very small but it's clean and, because it's a small hotel, does not get crowded. I'd rate it as an over-performing three-star establishment and great value for money.

Room tip: Try to get room 1

I can only recommend Vila Kerciku. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious enough and very clean. Also the breakfast was fine. I especially enjoyed the omelet with the local white cheese. I didn't try the spa but my colleague did and she was very happy with the services.

For a person coming from a western country Tirana in all of its chaos can be a bit of a shock. There's absolutely no need to be alarmed. People are very friendly, prices low and the food very good. I recommend to visit the mosque close to the Skenderbeg Square. Even when it's closed there's someone at daytime to show you around. Just hand a small note for appreciation when you leave. The mosque's really pretty so it's worth the visit. Also the outdoor market behind the corner, close to the hotel is excellent. The one in front of the hotel sells mostly fruit but for good vegetables and olives go around the corner. And don't get shocked when you see the live chickens getting their head chopped off :) But beware of the cars. They will not slow down for you when you cross the street!

But back to the hotel, no complaints, good quality for the price. Go for it! Albania is really worth the visit.
