Not an easy place to visit. Booking by phone in advance, taking your passport which they keep for the duration of the visit, full on security, and a tour which sees not so much of this vast building.
My big annoyance was a tour guide who at one point left a quarter of his tour wondering where he'd gone !
But the biggest challenge was finding the entrance. They give no clue on their website, and it's a big place, so if you choose the wrong side you're screwed.

Grand, grandiose (as well). Vast sprawling building. One gets to see only some 5% of the palace. But is a MUST SEE

Don't miss this visit, but you must book before you go. Your hotel would be happy to help you with the booking, I'm sure.
Our guide was very interesting and spoke really good English.
The tour takes quite a while about 1.5hrs and there is quite a lot of walking and stairs, although there is a lift if someone struggles with the steps.
You have to pay to take photographs with a camera, but if you take them with your mobile phone they do not charge you a fee and they make it clear this is permitted.
Make sure you take your passports or ID as they will not let you in without them.
The entrance is on the side of the buidling nearest the park.

This is a must do in Bucharest! It’s the second largest building in the world and it sure makes a statement!
This should be in the top 5 things to do in Bucharest... our guide Alexandru was just fabulous. He took his time explaining things and was extremely knowledgeable about the whole Palace...

There are many shock and awe moments throughout this tour.

You certainly realise that Romania would have been one of the great countries in Europe if they were not pilfered by parasitic elements of West purely for the their own benefits!
