Andrew Descent and Podil from Kiev

I like this old fashion street with his church . The church is located in one of the highest places of Kiev with a splendid view of the Dniepr River and the Podil district. The exterior is as spectacular as all the buildings of Bartolomeo Rastrelli, while the interior is typical of the Orthodox churches. Absolutely not to be missed, is the steep descent of Sant'Andrea with all the stalls: those near the church are more touristy, while going down to Podil they become more market flea with various objects from the Soviet period. Good sight view ,and ideal for romantic walking in the evening

... but the odd gem does surface. Nice walk - no pressure from the sellers. Great views of the church.

Lovely views of the city, though a shame there was no entry to the church. I don't think it is a working church but a national monument - so the entrance fee (very reasonable) was going to its general upkeep.

Wonderful lighting, great scenery, esp when looking uphill. Fantastic picture to take home and located in an area where they have flea markets

It is located in the center of the city and if you go up the stairs on the right and on the left side (there are turns) you can get to a very beautiful panoramic places. Also there you can buy some local clothes or souvenirs and go to eat at the great local restaurant Kanapa (my personal choice) with amazing cozy little terrace
Then in summer you can have a cup of coffee at the bottom of the uzviz in Lvivska Maysternya Shokoladu
