It's not a big museum, but well worth the visit. The microminiatures are mind boggling. Loved this place!

It is a good and fascinating museum from a person of big talent. Before you go there you need to understand that Mykola Syadristy is a person of his time and his masterpieces are a lot influenced by people, events and things of past. Some of them are hymns to Ukrainian heritage from Taras Shevchenko and some of them are one of the many, still left all over the place in Ukraine, traces of Soviet Union. Nevertheless, it cannot over-shine the majesty of his works.
The only disadvantage that I encountered was... um... to get to the museum you have to get passed the gates of Kiev Pechersk Lavra (because the museum is on the territory of Lavra). And to do that you pay 25 UAN. And then the ticket to museum is extra 50 UAN. It is not big sum of money, but I don't like the idea that if I am not interested in Kiev Pechersk Lavra, and I am gonna only visit the museum that happened to be on the Lavra territory, I still have to pay for the entrance.

It's wonderful museum and we enjoyed there. It was small building and they don't allowed us to take any photo there but still good!

If you have come to the Lavra Monastry it would be a loss not to visit this extraordinary exhibition. It is at a remote corner in the monastry so be careful not to miss it.
These tiniest objects you see under microscope are to good to be true with all their details. the whole visit wont take much of your time, most probably half an hour or so.
There is also a book of this art in sale. And if you are lucky enough ( we werent) Mykola Syadistry may be ther to sign it.

It is a small museum with just a dozen of microminiatures, but it definitely was the best museum in Kiev in our 5 day visit (maybe because others weren't good).
