Was in the mood for Italian food and so decided to try Pane E Vino at Zona Viva. From the exterior, the restaurant looks smaller than it actually is. We arrived for lunch and were seated immediately in the aire-conditioned restaurant. We ordered our beverages and an appetizer while perusing the menu. Our appetizer choice was the Smoked Salmon Carpaccio - riquissimo! It was a good combination with the Focaccie Classica bread! We all ordered different entrees as we were disappointed that the canneloni was not available. One entree was the 'Grilled Chicken with Vegetables'. Not only was the presentation beautiful but tasty as well. One minor complaint was that one of the broccoli florets was past its prime. Entree two was the 'Chicken Lasagna in Cream Sauce'. My wife loved it and would order it again! My entree was the 'Meat Lasagna'. Of the three, this was my least favorite and most disappointing as I was hoping for a lasagna stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesano cheeses. I found the lasagna to be cheeseless. I will return to try some of their other menu items, just not the meat lasagna!

I wanted to eat pasta today and it had been a while since the last time I came here but it was really good. I had wheat pasta with salmon, it was fresh and tasty, service was really fast and very polite. We also ordered a fettuccine puttanesca but I felt it was a bit too salty. Quantity is very good for what you pay.

This was our first dinner in Managua on our recent family holiday, and I learned that one may wish to apply insect spray if sitting outdoors in the rainy season. For every delicious bite of food I enjoyed something took a bite of me. Other than that, the ambiance, food, drink was excellent. We fed a family of four (with several drinks) for C$1930 (~$64.)

Last night in Managua, early flight out, don't want to go out the answer pizza! This place was very close and the menu intriguing. Figured I may as well go out with a bang so I ordered a small smoked salmon and shrimp pizza. Got the box and the pizza looked kind of funny but the taste was incredible. Huge juicy shrimp. Lots of smoked salmon. Just enough cheese and arugula topping it all. A small fed me supper with left overs for my 4:30 am breakfast.
