Our room was adequate but did not offer much. Our breakfast was very dissappointing - cold cereal, instant oatmeal, stale bagels, etc. There was an option to make your own waffles but we have been spoiled with better selections in other Inns.
The people were very friendly but we would not go back on that alone.

Room Tip: we had the #5, Berman - I would not pick that room.

Dear Harriet R,
We were very upset and surprised to read your recent review of Gibson's. We never want a guest to leave our establishment unhappy. I apologize if you were under the impression we served a "hot breakfast". Gibson’s Lodgings is classified as an “Inn”. We offer a continental breakfast that consists of fresh fruit, cold cereals, instant oatmeal, danish, yogurt and fresh bagels delivered daily at 5 A.M. Additionally, our gourmet coffee is purchased in Annapolis and we serve an assortment of teas. We have recently added a hot waffle bar to our presentation that has had rave reviews. In closing, I wish you would have voiced your disappointment with your room so that I could have had the opportunity to find one that better suited your taste. I am pleased you thought we were all friendly but disappointed that you left unhappy.
Thank you,
Meredith Lauer

My girlfriend and I stayed at this amazing inn over the summer and already have our next trip planned!! We were so pleased with every aspect of this establishment. The staff was the friendliest people I have ever come in contact with, and made us feel just at home! The manager offered to make us dinner reservations to any restaurant in town, and had a basket of menus to look through in the office. SO CONVIENT. Everywhere we turned there was baskets of treats, cookies, cupcakes, sodas and bottled water, ALL FREE! I think we gained 5 pounds over the weekend! I wouldn't stay anywhere else during my trips to Annapolis but Gibsons!

Room Tip: We stayed in Lauer 3, this room was AMAZING! It had wonderful views that overlooked the Naval Academ...

Last week my husband & I were in Annapolis for the US Sailboat Show & stayed at the Gibson's Lodgings for a long weekend. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most welcoming manager, Meredith, who got us quickly settled into our nicely decorated room on the third floor in the Lauer building. Our room was very clean, spacious & had all of the comforts of home: AC, WiFi & flat screen TV, as well as, a very comfortable king size bed. We felt very safe & in fact, we slept with the windows open to catch the cool fall breeze coming from the harbor.

Gibson’s Lodgings is conveniently located ½ a block from the docks, restaurants & stores, which meant no parking expense & hassles! Our car once parked in their private parking area it wasn’t cranked back up until we left! We started our mornings with their delicious continental breakfast then followed Meredith’s lunch & dinner recommendations, which were right on & most appreciated. I highly recommend Gibson’s Lodgings & have already booked the same room for a future trip.

Jenny

Just stayed at Gibson's for the Annapolis Boat Show and had a super time. Our room was clean and well appointed. The staff, especially Meredith, could not have been nicer. The breakfast buffet was pretty good too! We have already made our reservations to return next year. Nice job guys!

Room Tip: I doubt there are any bad rooms here but Lauer #6 was very nice!

We stayed for 1 night a few months back and the hospitality was exceptional. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking if Free so this is great and everything is within walking distance. The Breakfast was very good, freshly prepared and very nice. Sitting outside on the patio was a nice option. Yes we would stay there again. Highly recommended. Oh and the reservation was very easy.

This bed and breakfast offers the best of Annapolis, Maryland. Kind personnel, the ambiance of great rooms and a amazing view of the Naval Academy. Just a small stroll to the best restaurants, and bars Annapolis has to offer.
This family owned and operated establishment, has hosted gatherings for my business, as well as hosted guest for a New Years ever visit. Their, Lauer house, has a room large enough to host a cocktail party for 50 or so..........and has it's own kitchen area. The Lauer's have welcomed our business group upon every occasion.
Cannot say enough about their hospitality, and kindness....
This experience has never ever been disappointing....don't miss this great adventure.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Lauer House which is a newer built side of the establishment. Our room had it'...

We were one of the many Maryland households left without power and with substantial damage after the recent hurricane (Irene). After five days without power and hot water, we decided to find a respite locally. We chose Gibson's Lodgings from other family members' recommendations, which were very accurate. Not only was it heaven to be in spacious, charming accommodations, it was also a wonderful experience with a warm reception by the Inn's hostess that night, and Peggy could not have been more helpful and friendly. We loved the new waffle bar, (and obviously the hot showers and cool A/C!), and we felt like we'd been given a vacation instead of just a short escape. We highly recommend Gibson's and will come again -- just for fun the next time!

Room Tip: Many of the rooms will have in-room wall fireplaces this fall, which will be great on chilly evening...

Two of the buildings are historic town houses: the Patterson (a 1760s Federal Georgian with 5 rooms and our main office & dining room) and the Berman (a 1890s house with a porch and 9 bedrooms, one equipped for travelers with disabilities). Behind them is the Lauer House, a 1988 addition with six king suites, a full kitchen and a sitting room that can serve as a meeting room. Filled with both antiques and reproductions, the bedrooms are of varying sizes. A central patio and courtyard serve as a common area for all three buildings. We offer free courtyard parking with your stay and a continental breakfast (including a hot waffle bar) each morning from 7:30-10:30.
