The historic center of Annapolis is so beautiful. If you are planning to visit as a tourist, it is a shame if you do not stay in the historic center. When you stay in one of the historic inns, you are right in the middle of history and architectural beauty.

Once the valet parked our car, we walked to everything we wanted to see and everywhere we wanted to eat and did not miss the car until it was time to leave Annapolis.

Room tip: Stay in the main building. That is where the reception desk is located.

We were here for 1 evening. Came from the Ritz DC so hard to compare. You have to check in in one building and then go sleep in another a quarter mile away. It was old and crickedy but had charm. Old smell but you get used to it. Room was clean. Walls are thin and noisy.

We came to celebrate our 17th anniversary. Over the years we've come to Annapolis twice before, and stayed at the Historic Inns once before. The rooms where redone very nicely since then. We stayed at the Robert Johnson House on the second floor. Very quite. We were blessed with some snow which made the trip even more enchanting.

The staff at check in was very accommodating and helpful. She was able to answer all my questions and even pointed me to a free parking garage since valet parking was full. I would say checkin was somewhat difficult, there is not much room on state circle and trying to find a spot is not very easy. We had to circle around a few times to get in. Drop off to the hotel which two blocks from the Main lobby wasn't easy as well. No real designated unloading zone.

Parking however was not a problem. There was a parking garage a few blocks away and the parking over the weekend was free.

The Inn is a wonder place to stay. There are a lot of shops in the downtown area but most of them were not to impressive. They need a book store, some shops with out the new age stuff. I’m not a real fan of chain stores in a downtown area, but one down there would have made the day.

We planned our trip during the harbor Christmas Light Display. That is a sight worth seeing. Had a meal at Mission BBQ and from our seats could see the boats still cruising thru.

Get breakfast at the Iron Rooster stick with the wait it’s worth it. Get the homemade pop tarts.

Over all I would recommend the Inn. Unless they change up the downtown that area is only worth a visit once or twice.

Queit and quaint. the only bad thing is we had a broken shower and they took awhile to fix but they gave us 10% discount off the room. That was nice of them. front desk was very welcoming and we would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this Inn just this past weekend. We loved it. The staff were very friendly, and check in was quick. Note: they have 4 locations very close to one another, so you might not be at the hotel you're checking in to. Valet parking is $25, but well worth it. This was a perfect, romantic weekend getaway! The hotels are all within walking distance to downtown Main Street Annapolis. Really just around the corner! We ate breakfast at the Treaty of Paris restaurant. Which was great, too! Highly recommend to anyone!
