Overall, the hotel serves the needs of a business traveler. The lobby is a bit misleading since it is so warm and cozy while the rooms and dim hallways are more reflective of a motel, not an Autograph Collection. Granted it was 28 degrees during my stay, but my room was exceptionally cold. No matter how high I turned the thermostat, continuous cold air blew. A call to the front desk assured me that the non-working heat would be fixed that day. When I returned to my hotel that evening after a long day of meetings, the heat was still not working. There was no follow up or indication from the hotel staff that they were either unable to fix the issue or just didn't appear during the day to fix it.

During my departure for an early morning flight that next day, I encountered someone at the front desk that was less than friendly or helpful. Quite a difference from the personable front desk staff during regular hours.

He booked the room here, and it was a smash hit. The room was nice, king bed overlooking the Marina. It was clean, spacious and quiet. The bathroom was large, nice size shower and also very clean. Front desk service was fast, excellent, and friendly. Within a short walk of sites, very convenient location. Would definitely come back!

Dear LMJacobs23,
Thank you so very much for your 5 star review!! We are delighted you enjoyed your visit to our hotel. As you mentioned we are in a fantastic location, easily accessible to many tourist spots and a variety of local restaurants and shops. We are the only Annapolis hotel located directly on the water, our views are second to none. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again, should your travels bring you back to the Annapolis area. Thank you again for your kind words.

Warm Regards,
Hotel Management

This seems a reasonable, though not inspiring, hotel, in a great location. Our room has a view of the HVAC system, which provides a kind of helpful white noise (read on).

Unfortunately, it’s also, apparently, the place where the college crowd comes to stay and drink. There’s some kind of party going on next door—not crazy, but enough to keep us awake. It’s only 11pm....

We went for a quiet drink in the bar after dinner somewhere else: it was bedlam; crowded and noisy with a disco going on in part of the bar. Drinks were served in plastic cups. We left pretty quickly.
Turns out there’s a college basketball game on in town tomorrow.
Before you book, check who else is staying here.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent stay. A view of a HVAC system isn't the most ideal I agree. I wish every room in the hotel had a view that wasn't obstructed somehow. Downtown Annapolis is a popular destination for all ages, however on Friday and Sat nights crowds do frequent our restaurant Pussers. There is no cover, and a DJ is provided in our Harbor View room until 1:30am. Because of the crowds plastic cups are used on the dock and Harbor View room, where glassware is served inside the restaurant. Being so close the USNA we often house teams from all over the country come to play in tournaments against other teams. I appreciate all your feedback and will use it as a building tool for the future. Happy New year

The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel is advertised as part of the Marriott Autograph collection. The website states that these are "boutique hotels from around the world that share a philosophy of attention to detail in their every expression". This hotel cannot be part of these hotels. It is a very basic hotel without any charm to it, other than the position on the Annapolis waterfront. The lobby is tiny and uninspiring. The rooms were as expected for a typical 3 star hotel, although the bathroom was small and difficult to move around. There is a general tiredness about the hotel, which could benefit from a complete overhaul. Notwithstanding its overhaul shabbiness, the room rates are pricy.

Room Tip: Room with harbor view, otherwise you will look onto the parking lot

Dear pjgriffiths10,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor.com. We strive to offer a positive experience to all our guests, in which we meet and ideally exceed their expectations. It is apparent we have fallen short in this endeavor. Please accept our sincere apologies for this shortcoming. The hotel is an older building that has been through many renovations and updates over the years. The most recent being within the last 2 years. With that said, we are a very busy property, regularly at full capacity. This can cause the property to show signs of wear and tear in some areas. A hotel update is being discussed for the very near future, in efforts to rectify this. We thank you again for your comments, and hope to see you again in the future.

Warm Regards,
Hotel Management

The location is wonderful, a few hundred yards away from the Navy Academy and Annapolis Waterfront . If you get a room with Waterfront view and balcony, it is wonderful. In the morning you feel a calm watching the bay bridge in the distance and the boats docked.
The hotel is not new, and rooms are dated. But, the linens, towels and toiletries are first class. The beds are comfortable to sleep. The hotel maintains a quiet time around 11 PM. Staff were pretty friends. A restaurant/club is attached to the hotel. Parking is valet. Street parking is only available for 2 hours. With this location and views, you are probably staying in the best location in Annapolis.

Room Tip: Rooms with Waterfront views are great.
