“Excellent meal”

Elm Square Oyster Co.
Ranked #21 of 71 Restaurants in Andover
Price range: US$5 - US$58
Description: Elm Square Oyster Co. is a fun, fresh, and exciting restaurant serving brilliantly creative seafood and American dishes. The focus is on local and seasonal ingredients which our chef Michael Sherman artfully and tastefully blends to create ESOC's interpretation of “New” New England cuisine. We are a scratch kitchen, making all of our sauces, seasonings, and condiments from scratch. Everything from the ketchup to the ground beef, soups to sea salt. We even make our own raisins and pickles! We work closely with local fishermen, farmers, distillers and brewers to provide a unique dining experience for our guests. It is this attention to quality and detail that earned us the Best of the Northshore General Excellence Award. Behind the bar, we embrace everything that is great about American craft beverages. Our bar features a wide variety of American and imported wines, small batch spirits & local craft beers from some of the best craftsmen in America.

We enjoyed a great meal, the oysters were so fresh and delicious. I had the Abigail Pearls and Chief Sagamore varieties and they were amazing.

Have dined here three times now and every time the service has been great and the food delicious, well prepared and presented. The baked Alaska dessert was unbelievably great, probably the best I've had. Drinks were great too and a nice selection of oysters. Love the vibe of the place also.

Glad the burger is back! Love to have it with a few drinks at the bar with Colin and John. Like that they have local beers like night shift which we love. The burger is great to have and like that we can have fries or salad if we're trying to be a little healthy. We also have had oysters on several occasions that were very good. They have special sauces which were interesting but I like mine with just a touch of lemon. Awesome bar tenders always make sure my drink is full !

Save this place for dollar oyster night - great deal. Otherwise, it is too expensive and the service is spotty.

On a whim, we dropped into the Elm Square Oyster Co. for a late dinner and drinks. While I'm not an raw oyster eater, we were pleasantly surprised to find a small gourmet menu to complement the wine bar and local beers on tap.

The scallops and prosciutto were both fresh and flavorful with a mix of grilled parsnips and onions. The Parisian gnocchi was light and delicious with broccoli and cauliflower compliments.

We'll be back again to sample the vast appetizer list.

Thanks for a fun find.
