This restaurant was a discovery for us: walking around Antigua at night, this was a real gem of a discovery: the good setting (-surrounded by leaves, trees, bird-noises); the staff being very welcoming, communicative and joyful.
Then the food came - and each of us had a selection of vegetarian, gluten-free - as well as meat dishes, For us, there was a real 'Sensibility' and good taste with the way the different foods and ingredients were put together, and had a feeling of 'just right' afterwards. On their website, it says 'bienestar', and indeed it is one of well-being. Truly recommended :)

Interior made up of several courtyard nooks, all lush and charming. Sat near 2 birdcages with gorgeous paraqueets. Pizza was a flat bread, not a traditional crust. Topping we had was portobello mushrooms, green beans and tomato.....of course plenty of mozzarella cheese. Loved the quality of the ingredients.
Stopped in store on way out. Great place to pick up a sandwich if you’re on the out for the day.

Very good food (fish sandwich) in an amazing and quiet garden full of birds! Good quality of service too. A restaurant not to be missed in Antigua.

Had a great time at Saberico. The chiles rellenos were perfect for a light evening meal and their vege open sandwich was excellent. Desserts were to die for, served with a chocolate truffle which made us go in to their store and buy more!

These comments are not about the restaurant, but about a bakery experience. My experience with the restaurant has generally matched other reviews.
.
I buy granola to add to my yogurt and have bought granola and compared granola from various places in Antigua.
Bought some granola with nuts and other added things at the bakery and found that the granola itself a stale flavor, but the nuts and other added things were fine. Wrote a note to Saberico indicating the problem, leaving my name and local Guatemalan phone number. Never got any reply. Then, about a week or two after leaving my comments, stopped in Saberico and one of the owners was there and told him the problem. He told me I should have brought the granola back to the store. And that was it.
.
I want to contrast this with the experience I had at Cafe Condesa. Have been buying granola there regularly. But one of the packages had some macadamia nuts that had an off-flavor. I wrote a note to them and within a few days was contacted by the owner, Ginger. She thanked me for acting as quality control and said she was going to investigate and, if there was problem, fix it. And that I could pick up a free pound of granola at the cash register.
.
Totally different customer experience and service than at Saberico.
