I come to Guatemala once a year before going on to Chimaltenago - this time I brought my two daughter and niece ( ages 17-21). Enchanted, wonderful colonial room with four beds. We were in the main calle and if street noise bothers you ( open windows keep air flowing) then ask for a garden view. We loved following the street stories-and used ear plugs. Meals are good in the hotel but cheaper outside the gate. Needed to change a hiking reservation and Carmen at the front desk went above and beyond helping. Sangria and cards on the terrace is a great way to end busy days. Will come back.

We stayed here over the weekend for two nights, and although the small amount of time we had - it was restaurant was top-notch, we ate breakfast there and lunch once. You get an amazing view of Volcán de Agua and the busy streets of Antigua are right outside. The hotel features an impressive courtyard with a fountain. Extremely good experience and hope to visit again.

My companion and I had lunch on the the upper terrace. Great cuisine, great views of volcanos. Attentive, personalbe waiter. My Pasta with shrimp and crab meat was done to perfection and, by report, my companion's chicken salad stuffed avocado was "scrumptious." The hotel interior is also a feast for the eyes, the interior garden magical. And for those who enjoyn a "side dish" of hospitality, the main dinningroom features live music and entertainment during midday, as well as in the evening.

This hotel was charming. The staff excellent. The room was located first floor over looking a lovely garden were you could access the dining room. The bed was fine, a bit firm but fine. The pillows are flat. Beware that most places do not give you wash clothes (face clothes) . I think women may want to bring one so you can remove the soap from all your parts.
We had dinner in the restaurant 2 nights. The food was very good. The staff was attentive and friendly. They had traditional Mayan dancers entertainment each night at 8:00 and music the entire dinner time. Our reservation included a continental breakfast which consisted of fresh fruit and toast. They did have a breakfast menu if you wanted something more substantial. We had breakfast in the patio dining room overlooking one of the gardens.
You can also have drinks on the upper terrace and watch the sunset with great views of the volcanoes.
This hotel is centrally located to many sites.

Room Tip: First floor interior rooms very quiet and over look the garden. They have chair outside the room on the veranda that overlook the gardens.

This hotel is set around tranquil courtyards filled with colourful flowers. The rooms retain some of their original features but are thoroughly up to date in terms of facilities. You breakfast overlooking the flowers - very peaceful and relaxing.
