Our hotel arranged for 4 of us to have a tour of Diocletian's Palace with Katja during our stay in Split. She was delightful to spend a couple of hours with and very knowledgeable about the palace and the history of Split. Her English was perfect so it was easy to understand all the information that she shared with us. Katja was very professional and personable and we all highly recommend her.

Katja is an author, poet and history buff. She packages all of this into her walking tour of Split. Everywhere we went, one could self tour. But not with the depth of understanding that she delivers.

Tours in Split with Katja lived up to it's good reviews already mentioned on the Trip advisor . When a person books on the net, one of the biggest fears is not having any idea on how things work on the ground and whether delivery will be as promised without any hidden costs and wide gaps in understanding .When we disembarked from the ship at Split ,Katja was awaiting us with our Name board and from there on it was an extremely pleasant and informative trip to Hvar caves ,the KLIS fortress and finally the Diocletion Palace. No hidden costs , no unpleasant surprises that we did not anticipate everything was as promised in the mails exchanged before the trip.

In fact Katja helped us out for making payment in kunas at the entry ticket points since we had carried only Euros in cash . She had also thoughtfully carried umbrellas for us since the forecast had said rain Her information on the Hvar caves, KLIS fortress and the Diocletion palace was interesting and very engaging and made the places come alive. She was also happy to answer our very many curious (sometimes too curious ) questions on the Croation way of life /the politics etc
Many thanks Katja , we have great memories because of you

Dear Arundhati,

Thank you do much for your kind words. I hope rest of your holiday went as smooth as Split experience. I have to mention just a small correction about our itinerary, the name of the cave is Vranjača, whereas Hvar is the island we saw from the top of the Klis fortress. I imagine Croatian names are as hard to pronounce as they are to memorize, so no woder you got confused. This intervention is simply to avoid misguiding info on Trip Advisor. On the island of Hvar there is also an interesting cave, historical site from Neolithic times, known by the name Grapčeva cave.

I wish you and your family all the best.
Kind regards from Split,
Katja
