Very hard to find, right in the hart of the palace in the old town of Split there is a very small boutique hotel which has just a few rooms but every room is different but so beautiful decorated and comfortable. This is different than anything else at a very special location.

This hotel was charming and located in the middle of the old city. We got a junior suite which was a good size - we were told the regular rooms are rather small. Service was excellent and so was the breakfast, which was included. It's a little hard to find, so call before you arrive and they will meet you.

Room Tip: Choose a junior suite since other rooms may be small.

Hotel is in center of everything! Great service, they really do go for that extra inch to keep us happy. We parked on promenade and they have parked our car and deliver it next morning. Breakfast was OK, good value for money in this period

My husband and I stayed at the annexe building in Villa Dobric of Hotel Vestibul for 2 nights. Everything was clean and service was exceptional...the lady (sorry we didn't catch your name!) and especially Merin (sp?) were very nice and always offered to help in any way to make our stay better. The free breakfast was really great (best coffee on this trip so far as per my husband) and wifi signal was strong. We really enjoyed staying in Villa Dobric (room 3) as it was on two floors so it felt like a very small apartment. The only thing I didn't like was that the towel rack was so high (like 6ft) and there were no hooks in the bathroom. The towel rack is behind the sink and the shower is on the other side of the bathroom so you had to place the towel either on the toilet or the very small ledge. Bonus -they had heated floors...but would have preferred the hooks in the bathroom.

This hotel is actually inside the Diocletian Palace-- in fact a few feet from the spot the Emperor used to have his audience with his subjects. In the morning, open your window because the locals gather to sing Croatian songs and the stone walls echo the music upwards. Everything is close by, the market, the churches, the shops--and everything, except the obvious tourist traps, are reasonably priced. The staff were all college -educated and very friendly. We got a personal guide (Nic) for $50 euros, and it was an outstanding 4-hr walking tour.(For comparison, a similar tour in Rome cost us $500 euros.) Only drawback is all rooms are off stairs--no elevators, but the young staff carried the luggage for a small tip. Stay here and you'll love Split forever.
