“Everything you needed , excellent host”

Throughout the whole booking process, the owners were very quick to respond to any queries and give any information asked for. The property had everything you needed and was a good size and very clean. It was in an excellent location away from the main concentration of tourists, more where the locals lived, with a five minute walk taking you to plenty of cafes, bars and shops and transport links. The bus to the old town was very regular and cheap and only took ten minutes to get there. There is a very nice beach ten minutes walk away. Ivo the owner was very helpful and attentive and couldn't do enough to help.

Liked best: The location and views

“Great studio in lovely area”

My partner and I stayed in the studio for a week and had a fantastic time
When booking the studio the owners were extremely helpful and answered any questions we had, they also arranged a taxi from the airport for us which i would recommend doing if you do not know the area as the studio is not easy to find first time
we arrived early on our first day and were allowed to store luggage at the premises as the accommodation was not ready (we stayed in the ground floor apartment for first and moved to 1st floor studio the next morning as it had a large balcony which was what we wanted). The studio is compact but equipped with everything you need - you are even provided with washing up liquid and dishcloths which a lot of self catering places don't. The only thing missing was a kettle but to be honest you can buy a great cup of coffee at the bar at the end of the road so we didnt miss having one. The area is lovely - you are two minutes walk from bars/restaurants - the main part of Lapad Bay is left at the bottom of the hill and the bus stop is also there which takes you into the old town. The buses are very frequent and only take 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The bay area is lovely to walk around - beaches are very pebbly - best one we found was copacabana which was about a 15 min walk around the bay. A must visit is Lapad area is the More Cave Bar at the More hotel - its a 10 minute walk from the apartment and provides gorgeous seaviews.
Dubrovnik old town is a must visit as it is so pretty and a walk around the walls i recommended for great views of the old town and surrounding islands.
If i go back to Dubrovnik I would definitely stay at the studio as it had everything we needed and was in a great location - couldn't fault it or out holiday (except the weather - it rained for 4 days which is pretty unheard of in August)

“Great location - away from the crowded parts but close enough to the action”

Ivo was very polite and easy to deal with and facilitated us to the point of offering a lift to the airport on the day we left. We stayed in the studio on the basement level for 2 nights and in the apartment on the first floor for 3 nights, as the apartment was not available for the entire duration of our stay. Ivo was more than happy to agree a discount in respect of this. His mother Jelka was sweet and obliging and kept the place in admirable condition. When we moved into the apartment the shower-head broke and Jelka provided us with a replacement within minutes - faster than would be the case in any starred hotel. The location of this accommodation is great because it is only a 10 minute walk from the beach (through some shortcuts that make you feel like a local) and it is close to the no. 6 bus route to get into the city (10 min journey and very frequent buses). Overall a very positive experience, exceptional value and top-class service. The only tip I would have is that although the apartment is on the first floor and has its own sun terrace, the studio is a better place to be - it's significantly bigger, stays cooler and has it's own little area outside as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this vacation rental.
