I visited Klarisa last year for lunch and enjoyed it a lot so on my return to Dubrovnik on 11/8 I suggested it to my friend and the experience did not let us down. The service was friendly and impeccable. It's a oasis of calmness in Dubrovnik's busy old town. Furthermore there was amazing live music by a young female musician who accompanied herself with her guitar. Haven't been able to stop thinking about her voice so would be interested to know her name.

You have a choice of eating in the peaceful courtyard wonderful food and attentive staff or choose to eat just yards away watching the nightly jazz band - it's the same menu but completely different in many ways this is the whole of Dubrovnik in one small part....

My family truly enjoys coming to Klarisa, whether it is to sit down for a nice dinner, or to sip a glass of wine while listening to the live music. There is something for everyone here. The menu has an extensive selection, we especially enjoyed the appetizers and pasta. We had a large group of over 20 people with us and the staff was extremely attentive and the service outstanding. The location is amazing too, in the heart of the old city! A must-visit.

The old town of Dubrovnic is a beautiful place, but in the busy season the sheer amount of its many visitors can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. When this happens to you, you might want to consider Klarisa restaurant. You can find it near the main entrance of Stari Grad (the Old Town).

It has a shaded courtyard where you can eat or drink and recover from all that Dubrovnic has to offer.

We ate a burger, beef steak, pizza and grilled chicken which were well prepared and tastefull. Staff was quick and polite and during our visit we enjoyed live music played by a young woman with a lovely voice that accompanied herself on guitar.

Definitely a place to return to again.

The only downside was that bottled water was delivered with the cap already unscrewed. This always gives the impression that you are served tapwater while paying for mineral water.

So we came here hoping for music and we were not disappointed. They have in fact music inside and music outside. We had a 7:00 PM reservation and at 7:30 despite the fact that we were the only table a young lady started playing guitar and singing. She opened with a Nora Jones song and she was great! By the time we left there were another three tables in this big restaurant and that was too bad because the singer was really too good to miss.

The food here was not bad. I had the lobster soup, then a big seafood stew appetizer and finally the monk fish. We had also a great bottle of wine for 200 hrk. My wife had the turbo fillet with mixed vegetables.

If I had it to do over again I would have gotten their veal dish. Do not recommend the soup or the seafood stew. The monk fish was okay and large serving. The turbo fillet was disappointing.

The blueberry cheese cake was great.

Service was good. Kitchen was quite slow for the empty restaurant.

Outside after we finished dinner we found a jazz trio and they were very good. So good that we sat down and had a two small beers. The service was good and the beer cheap and cold.
