Ok, let’s get it out of the way: yes, there is a small Game of Thrones exhibit here featuring a very cool and rather massive Iron Throne you can sit on. There’s also info, behind the scenes videos etc. The exhibit’s located in the monastery – it’s likely you’ll end up here when arriving on the ferry – and the entrance is free.
The island’s worth a visit even if you’re not into GoT or if you’re totally fed up with the whole thing by now. There are several old buildings, the rocks in the south end form a popular hangout for swimmers and sunbathers, there’s a picturesque small inland seapool, and the resident peacocks don’t hesitate to show off.
You can catch a ferry to Lokrum at the Old Town Port, and the trip only takes some 10-15 minutes.

Even if you only have a short time in Dubrovnik it’s worth a trip to this beautiful island which is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the old city. We had a lovely lunch in the sun at the cafe in the monastery. The food is casual tourist cafe type food but the setting is beautiful and relaxing

Beautiful nature in the center of Dubrovnik. You can see many rabbits and peacock jumping and laying around. You can take a swimm in the sea or in a dead lake in the middle of the island. I love going there with my family and friends and spend some quality time in nature.

Have an amazing time at this island. Spent an hour walking round the forests trails and botanical gardens before discovering a beautiful rocky beach. Returned to the main part of the island to swim in the small salt water lake. Ended the day visiting the beautiful monastery.
