Located in the main square, La Pasteria is an enjoyable break in a town without a lot of options. Sit outside, under the umbrellas and enjoy watching people come and go in the old town, sitting across from the main church. We tried to stick to local foods and were very pleased. Nice, drinkable Montenegron wine went down nicely on a summer day. We started with a big bowl of olives, then chose a pizza with toppings you wouldn't usually find in Italy or the US - it was a nice combination their own meats and veggies - delicious & fresh. The service was very good and we lingered finishing our carafe of wine.
Kotor has a lot of developing/perfecting to do. Some of our other experiences involved really bad service and mediocre food. La Pasteria delivers good, inexpensive food (order what makes sense for the area) in a nice setting with friendly service.
