Beautiful historical buildings within the old town walls with many shops, boutiques, galleries, cafés and restaurants to choose from. More stunning churches to admire. Take a tour if you can as there is a wealth of history to enjoy.

It’s amazing to live inside the castle!! If you go in Kotor you MUST find a place to stay in there !

Kotor is small and spectacularly set in the Bay of Kotor and, of course, best explored on foot. Approaches to Kotor can be slow at any time of the year. Beautiful during the day and lively by night. A cruise ship visit with masses descending to this small town can turn Kotor in an unpleasant experience though. Head to the Tower of Kotor for the magnificent views of the town as well as the most southerly fjord in Europe.

planning a short walk just passing through the castle of St. John, but delighted by the wonderful old houses we stayed much longer. I liked the fact that the newly renovated houses remain in a convenient historic style. Narrow lanes and small squares are similar to most of the Dalmatian towns but yet so special.

A wonderful historic walled city, beautiful building and lovely twisting lanes and alleys. Great shops and restaurants and a welcoming atmosphere.
