I've stayed in this hotel several times over the last fifteen years or so. it was one of the first hotels to open in the old town, in a charming renovated national revival house - all wood panelling and ornate decoration. I still recommend it, though the comforts are simple. it is stylish and nostalgic. And perhaps it still remains a good choice even though other similar hotels have opened in the old town. Actually, nothing has changed, and perhaps that's a little surprising. I feel the hotel needs an injection of energy, somehow. Staff are somewhat unexcited and there's a slightly gloomy apathy to the place. Breakfast excellent though.
if you want something charming, moderately priced, different from an international standard hotel, then this is for you. if you want buzz and excitement, perhaps not.More
