Went to Tunisia in December for a 2 week holiday and stayed at the hotel, all inclusive. Have to say it was such a lovely place back then. I unfortunately havent returned since, and it has been 17 years since i have, so maybe a little too old of a review. The staff on site are all so nice, i remember it well. Poolside some staff were a little perverted, probably fascinated by the endless bikini bodies, so can be made to feel a little uncomfortable if you aren't used to being stared at. Food was nice, especially the pancakes first thing in the morning. The three restaurants that were on site at the time were all nice. Cannot fault the place and hope to return here one day

This hotel is really bad :(
The stuff is rude to you unless you pay them some extra money.
Food isn´t good. Drinks are in small, dirty glasses.
The hotel is full of Rusian people, who doesn´t not know how to behave!

Room tip: You will not have a minute of silence in the rooms at the pool side.

I stayed at the Jinene hotel from April 26th - May 3rd 2015 for a 7 night all inclusive holiday with my mother.

We arrived around afternoon 12pm. The hotel is very large and spacious, with a very good layout. The large reception area is filled with cozy chairs (but rather old fashioned) and a bar where you can sit and enjoy enjoy a drink and chat to other guests. Everything was easy to find.

Most of the staff were quite rude and expected tips for everything. Unless you were paying, you didn't get great service. My mothers medication also went missing out of the room on day 3. Our theory was the cleaner stole it.

Our room was over looking the sea, which was beautiful. The room decor is old fashioned but the beds were comfortable. Our shower head broke on day 2, so we used the bath instead. The TV only had 1 English Channel. Overall the rooms were fine.

The food really let this place down. The food was lacklustre, with not a lot of selection, all I ate was the salad and some chips. We had to eat out a few times. The coffee was horrible. I did enjoy the pancakes and orange juice at breakfast. The cups are also very small. The soft drinks were fine, as was the beer.

Very nice pool area. Very enjoyable time spend sitting around the pool and making friends with other guests. You can also do use the heated indoor pool at the Royal Jinene next door, and there is table tennis and a tennis court near the pool for guests to use.

There is a large entertainment room on the ground with with a bar which was on every night. There is music, Tunisian belly dancing, Karaoke, and various other things on various nights. Entertainment was good and enjoyable.

The beach is right next to the hotel, it was clean and very enjoyable. The sun beds were also free to use. The sea was lovely to swim in aswell. Very good.

I think we paid £500 -£550 for both of us. Which is a good price for all inclusive. However, we ended up spending a lot more money as we didn't like the food and ate out about 3 or 4 times.

Overall this a good hotel but is let down by the food and sometimes rude staff. It was an enjoyable holiday and we made good friends that will last a lifetime at this hotel and for that I grateful for. We would come back again if it was cheap enough.

I visited this hotel with my little family to spend the weekend. We found the hotel very close to the city center and near the beach. Our room was spacious and clean however the hotel is old fashioned and it's furniture is outdated. It has nice indoor and outdoor swimming pool as well as two tennis court for someone like me who is looking to play tennis. In the restaurant the food was just ok not much variety. In fact you get what you paid for considering this is a low cost hotel.
