My boyfriend and I decided last minute to get away. At peak season prices were high for most 4 star hotels, except this one...There was a reason!!

The hotel itself looks like a cheap brothel with its tacky neon lit entrance and lobby!
The only thing going for it was the location, if you want to be in the middle of the hussle and bussle of the local roads and souks.

I have never encountered such rudeness from hotel staff!! The night we arrived we were told there wasn't a room available and had 2 sleep in the lobby for a few hours till the manager woke up and and allocated as a dirty, 3 single bed room, when we had asked for a double! We stayed up on the moth eaten sheets and transferred to liberty hotel in skanes asap, where we got all the holiday perks we wanted.

NB- A 4 star in in Tunisia is a 2-3 star in the UK, so don't be fooled!!

This is the worst hotel I have been to. Forget about the four star rating, I would place this closer to two stars.

The hotel is unclean, the staff are rude and the food is terrible...please do not be fooled.

I arrive in Samara Hotel at night. It was late and couldn't see the hotel. As soon as they gave me my room i noticed that i have to walk in a dark garden plus the stairs (3 floor)which was also dark. Couldn't see where to go. Breakfast was terrible and dinner too. Dinner same. I didn't know that this hotel is all inclusive bercuase for people like me who was on half board basis had to eat like left overs. i have been so many times in Tunisia - Sousse but i had never been to a hotel like this. i don't recommended. this was my first and last time in this hotel. Bye Bye SAMARA. but surely Tunisia will be my best holiday.

On arrival we discovered that the hotel does not cater for British guests and from our experiences over the first few days we could see why. Little English is spoken and no English information is available on site. Evening meals were extremely poor to the extent they are inedible, eating out every night was the only option although we had booked half board. Breakfast was little better with constant queuing for plates cups drinks and pretty much everything. With little edible choice beyond bread, croisants, boiled eggs and water melon. What appeared to be the previous nights salads were on offer and some other gruel.
The facilities are very run down with peeling paint, dirty curtains, holed sheets and broken sunloungers (not that you would want one but 'towel reservations' were needed at 06:30 to stand a chance of securing one). The single square pool was cloudy with the bottom barely visible at the shallow end.
The hotel was over populated and under staffed and I would not reccommend it to anyone.
