Heard many good things about Tunisia, so I decided to go there for my vacation. I choose hotel Hill Diar in Sousse (http://www.hotel-hilldiar.com/) . Dear tourists NEVER go to HILL DIAR hotel!!!! We were robbed in our room while we were sleeping at night !!!!! our room was on the ground floor, so the thieves (most likely from the hotel) came in from sliding glass door, which opens directly on the garden (Room number 548). They took 2 cameras, two telephones with chargers, cash money, VISA card, even 2 packs of cigarettes!! The police declined to do any intervention and they said to us that this is not their business. When we called our guide from the tour operator Pegasus (http://www.pegast.ru/ ) , he said that he could not go with us to the police and this is also not his job !!!!! When we contacted the manager of the hotel Mr. Mohamed Rostom, again say this not his job !!! so we decided to meet with the hotel owner again he denied and did not want to help. All management of the hotel do not care about the wellbeing of their client, all they want is your money. The manager speaks to us a rough voice and refused to help us!!!!!! When an incident happens to tourists, all authorities deny responsibilities, and they are left to themselves !!!!! Luckily I have a friend in Tunis, who helped me put this on the web.

This hotel was booked because of the cheap rate. And I got what I payed for.
The hotel seems to have been great at one time, but time has passed. We can still enjoy the nice garden and location of the hotel. The location of the hotell blessed us with a lovely sea breeze during the very hot days.
The hotelrooms are ok,nothing special. Aircondition kept the room nice and cold.
The room cleaning was not as good as one can expect. The rooms are not clean when we arrive, and the greasy doors table etc are not cleaned during our stay.
The most negtive experience with the hotel was the meals. The food was simple and not at all good. If we did not show up very early and fight for the food (we did not!) you were lucky to find food at all. This is not to be blamed on the hotel- it can not be easy to run a hotel with the type of guests that we observed in this hotel.
We did not have "all inclusive" and I must say I was glad to not have to line up for the tiny cups uf mineralwater, beer or wine. But without "all inclusive" we had a hard time to get anything at all to drink at all, we seemed to be the only ones that wanted to be served drinks by the table.

Go here if you want a cheap and sunny stay at the beach. But do not expect much when it comes to athmosphere, service or food.

The hotel is fine for 2*, not 3*. As for food, you won't die of starvation, but you shouldn't expect pretentious novelties as well. Rooms are clean but very simple.
There is a great problem with parasols on the beach, you may simply get burnt like barbeque without it!!! We had to go to the neighbouring hotel's beach, which was almost empty.
There are a lot of arabic strangers in the hotel in the evenings. One evening we were on the beach, when one of such locals started to bother us and then even outraged. When we threatened that we would call the security, he told that they were his friends. It was true, because in 2 days we saw him again right in the hotel and security didn't drive him out, just asked not to talk to tourists, as we understood. Also one evening we witnessed how one of the arabic guys stole a girl's bag while she was bathing in the sea.
That is why I should advise you to watch your belonings and don't talk to local arabic people.

I'm not joking this hotel should be a one star.
The food is terrible and they have a "bungalow" option which we took only to find that these are nothing more than caves!.
Nothing worked in these caves and it was disgusting, when we complained we were moved to the nicer part of the hotel.
The rooms are adequate and the location is fair but this hotel is for emergencies only.

It's cheap but also quite nasty! and believe me we're not fussy! We left after 2 nights.

We stayed with our doughter of 3 years at All Inclusive basis for 14 days. The area is very nice,so kids may run around and have enough space outside. Food was nice and service quiet ok. Only problem was that we couldn't put on the air-condition as they were claiming that it will start with climatisation from 1st of july! Also there is no TV in rooms, but beds are brend new, terraces big and nice, swimming pool was very clean and we didn't had bigger complains about it. They are making indoor pool so probably will be also some adding things for children play. Rooms on upper floors are better and you have to ask for it. Not bed, in fact is great for such value.

Hill Diar is looking very nice, and for that money is amazingly good. Rooms have new beds and bathrooms are quiet new. The most great thing is that you may eat outside, and enjoy in nice view. Only problem was that air condition were off, and it is starting from 1st of July. Great is that you are close to the sea all the time and you get impression that you are in some nice, big park. Good and clean hotel. They are making also new indoor swimming pool - we will be back in ocotober for shore!
