Based at Do-Darya, on wooden platforms on the sea-front, Kolachi is easily the best of the restaurants on that strip. Serving traditional Pakistani food, it has great Barbeque and Karahi. Personal favourites include the Peshawar’s karahi, the white karahi and the Chicken Sajji which is a roast chicken. If you want less spicy food, go for the Hunzai or Afghani kebabs. Keep the hot naans coming and round off your meal with kulfi (Ice cream) and nutty pink Kashmiri chai (tea). The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and attracts a wide spectrum of society so dress as conservatively as you generally would in Karachi. Delicious food and a gorgeous atmosphere- worth the trek.
