The staff is friendly, The indian manager is a very good guy, and really helpfull, dont hesitate to ask him about everything, he will do the best. and lobby spacious for good reception of guest. The rooms are clean, comfortable and larger than most in SE Asia , a good and clean bathroom with hot water, an air-con, a ceiling fan, a rack to put your suite case on, a closet.

My room was at the front, and the street didn't make any noise that bothered me. If you don't want to hear the incidental tuk-tuk, ask for a room more toward the back.

Night market was two block/10 min walk. Riverside 5 min more. At the end of the street, a laundry service (15000/kilo), at the end around the corner (10 min walk) a number of travel/trekking agencies. Hotel can arrange trekking for guests as well, but could not arrange bus ticket when I asked.

Hotel of a Lao standard for price, staff so very helpfull, breakfast good & plentiful, if a little limited in choice. We were in room 207, fairly quiet, first 2 nights but tour group leaving after "monks alms" made so much noise at 05.00hrs sleep was impossible!

We took the room behind the reception counter, as we were three men. It has an en suit bathroom, aircon, flat TV with channels in Englisg, fridge, free drinking water and Wifi. The hotel must be 30 years old and it shows. Cleaning was not very good. Staff was friendly. Price is very reasonable.

For this price you can expect much more. Fried eggs are made the day before and eaten cold. Noisy rooms, no controle by management or staff. Beds are alright by the way, but the bar and the terrible breakfast make this hotel not to recommend.

During my trip in Laos I happened to stay in Luang Praban for a few nights and Rama Hotel was one of the hotels I used. This hotel was simply offer very good value in comparison with the amount of money I paid: reasonable price, clean room and good service. The staffs were helpful too. If weren't for changing atmosphere I'd probably stay here for the whole 3 nights but well, I prefer something new and changed everyday.
Recommended for any traveler.
