Went with a small group which was a good choice. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very informative. He assured that we were all dressed appropriately and knew what the rules were. The Mosques is opulent. You did have time to view the grounds and the inside, You did have to continue throug a procession while inside We heard the prayer start at 1230. That was interesting to hear. I highly recommend the trip. The tour company will provide the clothing for ladies.

If you are a muslim or a lovely human being open to loving everyone without any bias of any kind. Then this is the best spot for you to experience the way muslims observe their prayers. You will be amazed at how. spiritually electrifying it is.

We drove down from Dubai - takes about an hour - well worth it. This place is stunning. 3rd largest mosque in the world behind Mecca and Medina. Mostly made from white marble inlaid with precious stones and gold leaf! So no expense spared! Anyone can visit at no cost but women will have to put on a full length abaya which is provided free, regardless of what you are wearing. Gents should not wear shorts but shirts covering shoulders are fine. Everyone has to take their shoes off to go into the mosque - you just leave them outside with everyone else's in a rack. No-one seems to have them stolen - not surprising when you consider what the penalty for theft is in this part of the world!
41,000 people can pray here and the carpet is the largest in the world, weighing 30 tons and took 1,200+ knotters to make! This is a modern building but tastefully done and even being non-muslim you have to admire the workmanship. If you want good photos go in the morning before the sun comes round.

Address in trip advisor is wrong. Sent us to a grand mosque in Dubai - not grand. Disappointing waste of taxi ride.
