What worked: The best thing about the tour was our guide, Lana. She was early at the meeting place to greet us, and after she found that I was a fan of coffee, took us to the coffee museum ( reviewed separately). Lana made it a point to find out what we would enjoy, and since it was only our family on the tour, she tailored it to our interests. We visited the coffee museum, the art hotel, the Dubai Museum ( reviewed separately) , the spice souk, we crossed the creek on an abra, and then we visited the gold souk. She was kind enough to drop us to the metro station when we were done.
After the high rises, glitter, and bustle of new Dubai, this tour of Old Dubai gave me a glimpse of something more authentic, and I would strongly recommend it.More
