This place is amazing for kids for ages 5-13yrs old, they're nearly new opening place is a great place for virtual reality 3D games, with rollercoasters and lots of technical games, the girls loved it. They have packages to purchase on the kiosk, much better than buying one game at a time. I highly recommend. And you can go to the movies afterwards/before.
Have Fun!

I went there only to try the VR technology. I played John Wick game. It was a 7 mintues shooting game for 45 AED. Not bad. Actually playing on Xbox 360 kinect is more fun.

Ready Player One!
If Ernest Cline’s ‘holy grail of pop culture’ Ready Player One, captivated your imagination, then be happy, be very very happy for there’s a whole new immersive way to experience it. The recently opened Virtual Reality Park aka VR Park at the Dubai Mall is a futuristic take on the post-apocalyptic sub-genre of virtual science fiction. Set next to other famous attractions within the Dubai Mall, VR Park pushes the boundaries of human imagination and perception with mind-blowingly psychedelic rides and games. The VR Park is set to change the face of indoor entertainment in Dubai by turning virtual reality into an expedition.

The game-changing virtual world of the VR Park by Emaar Entertainment (the leisure and entertainment subsidiary of Emaar Properties) blurs the lines between perception and reality, by combining Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (VR) and creating an experience that is truly out of this world.

The unforgettable rides and games are set in an unbelievable two-story attraction, has come to life through a partnership with some of the world’s leading VR developers. The new attraction is set to transform the VR leisure and entertainment landscape through the breadth of games, rides, and experiences to suit all ages.

The 7,000sqm two-story VR Park is divided into different gaming and rides area with different themes and there’s something for everyone. With rides spanning horror, adventure, leisure, and a multi-sports arena, for adults and the young adults, there are dedicated rides for younger children which include Geminose: The VR Carousel that takes the young ones into a beautiful and playful world of magic, music, and dance. For adults, the experience goes as far as the imagination can. The Raft is one of a kind VR experience which requires the players to grab their VR guns and work together to defend the swamp against an infestation of supernatural creeps and monsters. Set in a picturesque and colorful world that seems like a river flowing in Pandora from James Cameron’s Avatar, the graphics are breathtakingly beautiful showing a vivid spectrum of the colors and the mystifying night sky and constellation. If you are a geek like us you would want to just lie down and view the sky instead of worrying about the monsters. Another super thrilling action-packed game is the PAYDAY 2’s VR heist, the challenge is to survive a zombie-ravaged hospital in the apocalyptic The Walking Dead Outbreak. The gaming area itself resembles a decrepit hospital/asylum with splattered blood, decomposing dead bodies clad in white and wheelchairs to complete the experience. The game is perfect for those who seek thrill in spine-chilling, gory, zombie slashing, suspense movies and games, it is also a big must try zone for the Walking Dead fans.

Punctuated attractively right in the middle, the Burj Drop ride is not just a bungee jumping style free fall drop, it is the visual center of the VR Park, complete with the upside down mock Burj Khalifa that dares you to try it. Another adrenalin pumping ride is the Dubai Drone taxi, where you sit on a spinning out of control rollercoaster while the Oculus shows the sights and sounds of Dubai like never before. You can forget the real helicopter rides this one is astonishing!

With a skydiving experience giving aerial views of in Plummet; and a hair-raising Dune Bash experience featuring close encounters with camel spiders, scorpions, snakes and other thrilling creatures, family-friendly VR Travel Bus that explores cities from around the world, space exploration to navigate a world full of aliens and space stations, in RobocomVR, there’s an array of exciting and fun packed activities never experienced before.

Open from 10 am to 11 pm Sundays-Wednesdays and 10 am to 1 am Thursday-Saturdays, VR Park offers free entry for all to explore, and experiences priced at AED 15-45. Age and height restrictions apply to some attractions. For more, visit VRParkdubai.com.
