This hotel is first class in every respect. Quiet, luxury quality rooms with wonderful beds & spotless bathrooms. Very helpful lobby staff. Magnificent breakfasts in a superb 2-level restaurant with a cook to prepare a full range of individual requests. Range of other in-house restaurants including a fun Italian/pizza restaurant. Lovely garden area at rear and handy supermarket close by. Taxis (which are cheap!) always out the front. Could not fault this hotel.

The experiences at this hotel seem to be very dependent upon which rooms you stay in and also if you are used to hotels in the US. (US Marriott hotels tend not to be a lower standard than those in Europe.) Also expectations must play a part. This is a business hotel near the airport. It’s not a resort and it’s not near the beach or attractions. I thought this hotel was great and would not hesitate to stay there again. I stayed for 5 nights on the Executive Floor. I’m sure there are better hotels in Dubai but they are also more expensive. For all that was available, the price for the room was very reasonable.

The room was massive, tastefully furnished and quiet. Beds comfy, linens soft, shower large and good with separate shower and tub. The room and bathroom were very clean. The pool upstairs was warm and comfortable to swim in; I went just before closing and usually had the pool to myself. The service in the hotel is great and especially so on the Executive floor. This hotel had one of the best Concierge Rooms I have ever been to. Breakfasts were wonderful with cooked to order eggs and plenty of variety of food. In the evenings they had a wide variety of snacks, which changed every day. Cocktails and wine are complimentary from 6pm – 8pm. Staff could not be more helpful.

Some things to prepare for. There are no clocks in the room; no alarm clock. No coffee or tea service in the room. They do not have a complimentary shuttle from the airport but the cab fare was only 40 AED coming in late from the airport and 20 AED going to the airport. The hotel is in a business / residential district and not close to any attractions. You can walk to the Creek in about 30 – 45 minutes but it is not a scenic walk. The Metro is 10 minutes away by foot. It is also possible to walk to the Gold Souk but it is a long and not pretty walk. Take the heat into consideration. An all day transit pass covering Metro and all busses in Dubai is only 14 AED. It’s available at the Metro stations. Be aware, the Metro is not open on Fridays until 1pm; hence my experience walking to the Souk.

The Mall next door isn’t much if you are a shopper. But it does have a food court with a decent Lebanese restaurant at very good prices. The Hofbrauhaus in the hotel is packed (yes – you read correctly, German beer pub).

Room Tip: Rooms with adjoining doors can be a little noisier as you can hear through the door.

I stayed there for a week. Unlike and older look from outside, the interior is much better. The staff is friendly and ready to serve. The breakfast is good. The check in and out process was quick.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floor and facing main road.

There are 2 parts of the hotel, the old one sucks as the AC is not working in the corridors and door locks don't respond always to entry card

Asked for a room change but problems persists

No limo service

Cafes and restaurants music are clearly heard from the rooms which may give you hard times if you have to go to work early

Breakfast menu never changed for three consecutive weeks

Room furniture looks so old

Tv channels are not clear and no interesting subscription channels provided

Attached mall is not even close to a mall

Will do my best to stay at any other hotel next time in Dubai

We stayed here for only one night - we had a long layover in Dubai. The service is really nice, employees are friendly. The rooms are spacious. We ordered room service and the food was delicious. Maybe the best place if you want to stay close to the airport.

4 day stay plagued with spotty (at best) internet service. Hotel limits download / upload speeds. Probably the worst experience I've had for internet service. Overall, the property is nice. It is close to the airport and a metro station. Restaurant selections in hotel is okay. Disappointingly, the one restaurant with what looked to have local style dishes was closed every day out of the 4 days we were there.

One of the older hotels in Dubai howver the rooms and facilities are well maintained. Rooms are huge and the new, large LCD TV's are a great addition; we're looking forward to the promised signal upgrade Mr. Manger.

This is a great hotel if you're in town on business; not ideal for a vacation. Plenty of restaurants and bars; the steakhouse is excellent, but expensive (one starter, two normal-sized steaks and a bottle of house red for the equivalent of US $ 245). As has been mentioned in other reviews, one of the top assets of the establishment is the excellent service from the staff - they are tops. The executive lounge is a wonderful place to hang out and extremely well kept with, absolutely wonderful staff; nothing is too much for them.

Rack rates fluctuate wildly during conferences or special events but in general you're getting very good value for money.

It's not the flashest place to stay in Dubai but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for the business traveler.
